1999

Began season with Scranton before being recalled by Phillies June 15...made ML debut as defensive replacement at 2B June 16 at Colorado, collecting RBI-single off Kevin Ritz in 1st big league at-bat...1st ML homer came in dramatic fashion, as he belted 2-out, 10th-inning solo clout off Bruce Ruffin to defeat Rockies 4-3 at Veterans Stadium June 21...logged career-high 5-game hitting streak July 23-Aug. 5, going 8-for-16 (.500)...appeared in 29 big league contests overall, including 19 starts at 2B, before being optioned back to Scranton Aug. 8...was recalled by Philllies again Sept. 8 after Scott Rolen was lost for season...saw action in 10 games following 2nd recall, making pair of starts at 2B...hit at .424 clip (14-for-33) in last 15 ML contests overall.
