Did not pitch this past season after undergoing season-ending Tommy John surgery in 2022. Underwent successful surgery on Sept. 7, 2022 to reconstruct the ulnar collateral ligament in his right arm, and missed the remainder of the 2022 season...The procedure was performed by Dr. Keith Meister in Arlington, Texas.

Appeared in Game 3 of the NLCS and threw 4.0 shutout innings with four strikeouts while holding Los Angeles to just one hit in his postseason debut...His relief appearance came after Game 3 starter Kyle Wright and reliever Grant Dayton surrendered a combined 11 runs in the first inning.
