Logan Reece Darnell...2007 graduate of Goodpasture (TN) High School where he was named Louisville Slugger High School All-American...pitched at the University of Kentucky; was one of eight 2010 Kentucky players or former UK players to be drafted or sign a professional contract in the 2010 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.

2014

Participated in first career Twins spring training...optioned to Triple-A Rochester March 9...Posted a 1.69 ERA (21.1 IP, 4 ER) with opponents hitting .195 (15-for-77), allowing seven walks and 21 strikeouts in four April starts...Recalled May 2...Made major league debut May 6 at Cleveland, tossing 3.0 perfect innings of relief; recorded first career strikeout, fanning Michael Brantley in eighth inning...Optioned the next day, May 7, when the Twins purchased contract of Matt Guerrier...Earned first win with Rochester May 17 vs. Toledo, allowing two runs (1 earned) in 5.2 innings pitched with a season-high eight strikeouts...Pitched third career complete game for Red Wings June 29 vs. Norwich, allowing one run on nine hits, earning the win...Recalled July 26 and made first career start that day vs. Chicago-AL opposite Chris Sale; allowed seven runs on 11 hits in 5.0 innings pitched with seven strikeouts, no walks and suffered the loss...Optioned August 3 when the Twins claimed outfielder Jordan Schafer off waivers...Recalled September 2 for remainder of the season...Combined to go 7-8, 4.21 ERA (139.0 IP, 65 ER) with 57 walks and 112 strikeouts in 30 games (21 starts) between Rochester and Minnesota...Named Co-Winner of Federation of Social Workers John L. 2013

Began season with Double-A New Britain and posted a 1.17 ERA (15.1 IP, 2 ER) in first three starts. Made three consecutive starts for the Rock Cats with 7.0-or-more innings May 12-23, posting a 1.56 ERA in that span. Named Twins minor league Player of the Week May 26, going 1-1, 0.60 ERA (15.0 IP, 1 ER) with nine hits allowed, one walk and 15 strikeouts in two starts. Named International League Player of the Week June 24, pitching a complete game shutout, allowing four hits, one walk and nine strikeouts June 20 at Erie. Promoted to Triple-A Rochester June 24...made 11 appearances (10 starts), including four quality starts for the Red Wings. Pitched 8.0 scoreless innings August 18 vs. Louisville. Tossed a combined 153.2 innings between New Britain and Rochester recording 120 strikeouts and just 45 walks...ranked second among Twins minor leaguers in strikeouts. Added to Twins 40-man roster November 20.

2012

Played entire season with Double-A New Britain...made 28 starts...played for Peoria Javelinas in the Arizona Fall League, going 2-0, 2.45 ERA (18.1 IP, 5 ER) in nine games (2 starts).

2011

Began season with Single-A Beloit...promoted to Single-A Ft. Myers May 16 and went 8-3, including five straight wins June 8-July 15...promoted to Double-A New Britain August 11 and won first start at Double-A, tossing 7.2 innings without allowing an earned run August 12 at Bowie...ranked 22nd best prospect in Twins organization by Baseball America entering the 2012 season.

2010

Made professional debut with Rookie Elizabethton, striking out 32 batters in 34.2 innings pitched...appeared in 11 games, including five starts.
