Began the year with the PawSox and made his lone appearance on 4/4 at Syracuse...Recalled by BOS on 4/6. Earned the 1st win of his ML career in his season debut on 4/7 at ARI, a 1-0 Sox victory (2.0 IP). Struck out a career-high 5 batters on 4/15 vs. BAL. Optioned to Pawtucket post-game on 4/15...Was recalled again on 4/18 and remained with BOS. From 4/20-6/4, posted a 1.44 ERA (4 ER/25.0 IP) with
25 SO over 17 games...That stretch included a careerbest 9.1-inning scoreless streak from 4/20-5/5. Did not allow a hit to 31 consecutive batters faced, which spanned parts of 9 games between 7/28-8/12.
