Began season as starter for the Miracle, going 6-6, 3.60 ERA (85.0 IP, 34 ER) in 16 starts before becoming reliever in early August; made five relief appearances for the Miracle, allowing one run in 9.1 innings pitched (0.96 ERA). Promoted to Double-A Chattanooga August 20. Made four relief appearances for the Lookouts, allowing seven runs in 6.0 innings pitched (10.50 ERA). Combined to go 6-7, 3.77 ERA (100.1 IP, 42 ER) with one save, 39 walks and 78 strikeouts in 25 games (16 starts) between Ft. Myers and Chattanooga. Pitched for Surprise in the Arizona Fall League, going 1-0, 4.26 ERA (12.2 IP, 6 ER) with five walks and 11 strikeouts in 10 relief appearances.
