Full name is Anthony Wendall Seigler...Graduated from Cartersville (Ga.) High School...As a senior, was named 2018 National High School Position Player of the Year by the National Baseball Coaches Association...Was also an ambidextrous pitcher...Was committed to play at the University of Florida prior to being drafted...Is named after the late Tony Phillips, who played in the Major Leagues from 1982-99 and was a friend of Anthony’s father, Todd...Has been ambidextrous his whole life...Can throw in the mid-80s from both sides.

2025

Made his Major League debut, starting 16 games at 3B and one as the DH...Began the season with Triple-A Nashville, batting .277 (59-for-213) with 11 doubles, four triples, seven home runs, 43 R, 35 RBI and 20 SB in his first 63 games (through the end of June)...Was selected to the active ML roster on 7/1 and made his ML debut that day, starting at 3B in both games of the Brewers’ doubleheader at NYM...Joined Lenn Sakata (1977 - 2B) as the only players in Brewers history to make their MLB debuts starting both games of a doubleheader...In Game 2 of the doubleheader on 7/1 at NYM, recorded his first career hit, a single in the sixth inning off of Dedniel Núñez...Made his first career pitching appearance on 8/12 vs. PIT, tossing a scoreless ninth inning in MIL’s 14-0 win...Was optioned back to Nashville on 9/9...Reached base safely in each of his nine Triple-A games after his option, batting .333 (12-for-36) with five doubles, one home run, eight runs, four RBI and three stolen bases. 

2024

All of his defensive appearances in 2024 came at second base at Double-A Somerset.

2022

Combined with Single-A Tampa and High-A Hudson Valley to bat .236 (74-for-314) with 61 R, 21 doubles, seven HR, 45 RBI, 91 BB and 16 SB in 97 games…led all Yankees Minor Leaguers in walks, ranked sixth in doubles and OBP (.405) and eighth in runs scored…recorded 66 BB with Hudson Valley, tied for the fifth-most in the South Atlantic League.

2021

Batted .219 (33-for-151) with 12 doubles, 1 triple, 4HR, 24RBI and 23BB in 41 games with High-A Hudson Valley.

2020

Did not play due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

2019

Played in just 30 games for Single-A Charleston, hitting .175 (17-for-97) with 10R, three doubles and 6RBI…following the season, was named the No. 8 prospect in the Yankees organization by MLB Pipeline.

2018

In his professional debut, combined with the GCL Yankees West and Rookie-level Pulaski to bat .266 (21-for-79) with 11R, 3 doubles, 1HR, 9RBI and 14BB in 24 games…batted .391 (9-for-23) vs. left-handed pitching…threw out 4-of-24 attempted base stealers (16.7%)…began the season with the GCL Yankees West, hitting .333/.429/.472 (12-for-36) with 7R, 2 doubles, 1HR, 4RBI and 6BB in 12 games…was transferred to Pulaski on 7/31 and batted .209 (9-for-43) with 4R, 1 double, 5RBI and 8BB in 12 games…following the season, was tabbed the No. 4 prospect in the Yankees organization by Baseball America…was also named the Best Defensive Catcher in the organization by the publication.
