Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) activates and empowers people to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness. BC2M strives to create and advance innovative approaches and partnerships to start conversations around mental illness, share resources, and tell stories so everyone can thrive in a stigma-free world.
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) envisions a world where all people affected by mental illness live healthy, fulfilling lives supported by a community that cares. NAMI works to educate, support, advocate, listen and lead to improve the lives of people with mental illness and their loved ones.
The Edgewood Center for Children and Families is the place to begin for any child or youth to get the mental health care, social services and academic support they need from highly-trained, welcoming professionals. Their vision is for everyone they serve is to have the power to live life with understanding, confidence, strength and joy.
Warfighter Overwatch supports our Veteran and First Responder community and their families through a variety of programs built to encourage camaraderie, resilience and connectedness by harnessing the power of the environment to remind them of their strength, foundation and their innate ability to adapt and overcome.
The Heart & Armor Foundation protects the health of veterans and connects civillians to the experience of military service members. In 2012, the Heart & Armor collaborative team started conducting research and developing innovative support for veterans with their work focused on mental health, Women Warriors, reintegration, cultural engagement, trauma, race, ethnicity and more.
National Suicide Prevention Day (988)
The Giants recognize World Suicide Prevention Day by raising awareness for 988 - the national suicide and crisis lifeline - through a variety of initiatives each season. The Giants remain dedicated to increasing awareness and visibility of the 988 Lifeline to ensure that players, staff fans and greater MLB community had the access needed to all available resources. In addition, Giants players and coaches wear 988 armbands during their warmups on World Suicide Prevention Day.
