Spent most of the season in the Minor Leagues...in 24 starts at three levels went 0-3, 3.50...Began the season at Class A Daytona (3gs)...on 4/25 was promoted to Class AA Chattanooga (15gs)...on 7/26 was promoted to Louisville, his first action at Class AAA (6gs)...From 8/6-9/6 made all four of his starts during four stints with the Reds...Was one of 16 players to make his Major League debut and one of 23 rookies to make at least one appearance for the Reds...Was one of six Reds pitchers to make his debut as a starter (RHP Levi Stoudt, LHP Brandon Williamson, LHP Andrew Abbott, RHP Carson Spiers, RHP Connor Phillips)...Made one start while on the roster on 8/6 & 8/7...In the 6-3 Reds loss on 8/6 vs Wsh, became the first Major League pitcher since 1900 to allow home runs on each of his first two career pitches (CJ Abrams, Lane Thomas)...in the expansion era, Zach Weiss in April 2018 is the only other Reds pitcher to allow a HR to his first two career batters faced...After his debut on 8/6, returned to Louisville and made two starts for the Bats before he joined the Taxi Squad on 8/20 for the trip to Anaheim...On 8/23 at LAA, was added to the roster as the 27th player for the day/night doubleheader...received no decision in the 7-3 win in the nightcap...Returned to Louisville the next day but didn’t pitch for the Bats before he returned to the Reds on 9/1, when he was recalled as a substitute player after reliever RHP Fernando Cruz and starters RHP Hunter Greene, RHP Ben Lively and LHP Brandon Williamson went on the COVID-19 injured list...Started the nightcap of the 9/1 doubleheader vs the Cubs, a 3-2 walk-off win...On 9/4 was returned to Louisville as a substitute player...the next day was added to the Taxi Squad...on 9/6 was added to the roster and suffered the 8-4 loss vs Sea...On 9/10 was optioned to Louisville, where he made his final three starts of the season...Was the organization’s Minor League Pitcher of the Month for July (4gs, 1.50era).
2022
Missed the season following "Tommy John" surgery to repair the torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow... Was added to the 40-man roster at the 11/15 restricted list deadline, along with IF Elly De La Cruz, RHP Ricky Karcher, IF Noelvi Marte, RHP Levi Stoudt and RHP Brandon Williamson.
2021
Ranked among Reds minor league pitching leaders with 18 starts (T7th) and 91 strikeouts (T9th)...At Class A Dayton was High-A Central League Pitcher of the Week for 5/4-5/10...Made his last appearance of the season on 8/25 at Fort Wayne...was bothered by a right elbow injury that led to off-season "Tommy John" surgery...Entered the season rated one of the organization's best prospects by both Baseball America (#25) and MLB.com (#13).

Spent the season at the Reds' alternate training site as part of the 60-player pool roster...Was not on the 40-player Postseason roster.
