For the first time since World War II, Major League Baseball's All-Star Game will not be played in 2020, due to health circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Dodgers, who had been scheduled to host the game and surrounding events, will host the next available Midsummer Classic in 2022. Along with the All-Star Game, all other All-Star Week events have been cancelled, including PLAY BALL PARK.

The second annual Home Run Derby VR championship was won by a local Indians fan prior to the main event at Progressive Field on Monday. Ohio resident Bill Brunnet Jr. came away with this year's title, earning a prize package that includes a championship trophy, four tickets to the All-Star Game, a custom jersey, a commemorative bat and more.

The 2019 installment of PLAY BALL PARK marks the first time this signature piece of All-Star Week is situated both indoors and outdoors.

A new interactive baseball festival, PLAY BALL PARK, will arrive inside and outside the Huntington Convention Center from July 5-9. The outside activities will be free to all fans, while the indoor activities will be ticketed.
