Looking for the best way to wish someone a happy birthday, celebrate a special occasion or just give a shout-out to your pals? Create a lasting memory at your next Cubs Spring Training game with a personalized, custom message on the Sloan Park video board. Proceeds from custom messages help fund Cubs Charities programs for at-risk youth.

Video Board Message Proposal Package

Message details

Video Board Message: Appears on the Sloan Park video board in the middle of the fifth inning.

JPEG Digital Download: An email will be sent within 10 business days of the original display of the message to the email address provided during checkout. The email will include the digital download of your message.

Proposal Package: One package available for purchase, per game. Package includes "Will you marry me?" along with a custom message (up to 40 characters) and a digital download of the message. All elements will be sent by email. All proposals must be purchased through the "Proposal Package."

Images are not available for pickup at the ballpark.

All messages will be displayed in the middle of the fifth inning, with a limit of 40 characters and a choice of the following five introductory greetings:

  • Cubs Welcome
  • Happy Birthday
  • Happy Anniversary
  • Congratulations
  • Honoring

Messages will be displayed for three to five seconds and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

All proceeds benefit Cubs Charities.

Ordering information

Video board message requests must be submitted no later than one business day before the designated game.

Only 20 video board messages are available per game, so be sure to order yours soon! Available space fills up quickly.

Your message will be displayed on the Sloan Park video board in the middle of the fifth inning.

Video board message photos

We will make every effort to take a photo during the live display of the video board message. In the event of technical or other difficulties, we reserve the right to recreate the photo at a later date.

Message content

The Cubs reserve the right to approve and edit any message. Messages which contain obscene or offensive content or include foul language will not be accepted. Marketing messages are not permitted.

Messages may be one line containing 40 characters or less, including spaces and punctuation.


There are no refunds for video board messages. If your game is rescheduled, the message will be played during the makeup game.
