A.J. Pierzynski escapes disaster after wandering into the path of the Racing Sausages

Pierzynski escapes danger, dodges Racing Sausages

A.J. Pierzynski lived his own meat-themed "Final Destination" sequel during Wednesday's Braves game against the Brewers. As he trotted out during the middle of the sixth inning at Miller Park to warm up Julio Teheran, Pierzynski unwittingly stepped into calamity.

Five giant sausages beared down on him, and Pierzynski was none the wiser. You're supposed to look both ways before you cross, A.J.

Thankfully, the Racing Sausages employed evasive maneuvers and spared the Braves' catcher, who scampered into safety at the very last second, from being trampled under their delicious feet. We shudder to think what would've happened if Pierzynski tripped

And it could've been worse -- Pierzynski could've walked into the middle of one of the other high-stakes races going on this week. If you're going to wander into imminent danger, giant sausages aren't a bad way to go.

And it wouldn't have been the first time porcine meats played a significant role in Pierzynski's life.
