A's Brandon McCarthy gives important update during road to recovery

If a sense of humor is a sign that things are returning to normal for Brandon McCarthy, then the A's pitcher must be feeling better every day.
McCarthy was hit in the head by a comebacker during a game against the Angels on Wednesday. The A's righty suffered from an epidural hemorrhage, brain contusion and skull fracture and was taken in for surgery that night.
Just three days after the procedure, he tweeted this. And on Sunday, Buster Olney gave fans a formal report on the pitcher's condition. McCarthy responded with an all-important update:
@buster_espn he is also frequently peeing into a bucket located next to his bed
