Bryce Harper homered out of AT&T Park because he's Bryce Harper and that's what he does
Harper homers again, this time into McCovey Cove
With Bryce Harper, it's difficult to separate fact from myth:
We heard he hit a 500-foot home run when he was in high school.
My friend saw him homer in the postseason as a teenager.
My girlfriend's hairdresser claims he hit three home runs in a rehab start.
The legend grew in Game 1 of the NLDS when he put a dinger into the third deck at Nationals Park:
He added another chapter with a well-rounded Game 3, including another home run to help the Nats force the Giants to a fourth game:
For his latest trick, Harper sent a ball swimming in Game 4:
He also doubled in the first run for the Nats, so he's basically doing a Bugs Bunny impression out there.
Harper would get one more plate appearance in the top of the ninth. With the Nationals trailing 3-2, Harper drew a walk to put the tying run on base. Unfortunately for Washington, Wilson Ramos grounded out to end the game and the Nationals' season.
We'll now have to wait for spring before Harper can add to any of those myths.
