Former Houston Rocket/professional baseball player Tracy McGrady tosses first pitch for Astros
Tracy McGrady throws first pitch for Astros
Seven-time NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady spent six of his 15 seasons in the pros with the Houston Rockets. Over those six seasons, T-Mac averaged 22.7 points per game and led the Rockets to the playoffs three times.
When his NBA career was over, McGrady put on his spikes and tried his hand (arm?) at professional baseball, signing a deal with the independent Sugar Land Skeeters last year. T-Mac appeared in four games for the Skeeters, allowing five runs on four hits over 6 2/3 innings. And he started in the Atlantic League All-Star Game and recorded his first career strikeout.
On Tuesday, T-Mac made an appearance at Houston's Minute Maid Park to throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Astros. You'll be shocked to learn that it was a strike.
