Indians present Roberto Hernandez with three birthday cakes to cover jump in age

Roberto Hernandez, formerly known as Fausto Carmona, was visibly apologetic on Sunday regarding his identity fraud.

But his teammates weren't going to let him off so easy. They decided to have a little fun with his "rapid jump in age."

At 2 p.m., Sunday, #Indians presented Roberto Hernandez, aka Fausto Carmona, with 3 birthday cakes to cover his jump in age from 28 to 31.

But it's clear Hernandez knows his misrepresentation is a serious issue.

"I'm extremely remorseful for what happened," Hernandez said. "I apologize to my fans, to my teammates, to the team and to everyone who looked up to me at that point. This is a new chance for me."
