The Orioles set up a crab race and invented the greatest fantasy football draft order selection method ever

There are a lot of ways you could go about determining the draft order for your fantasy football league. Roll a Dungeons & Dragons 20-sided die. Conduct a contest of who can hold the most marshmallows in their mouth. Go by reverse order of high school or college GPA. And of course you could just let an online draft randomly choose for you.

But I'm pretty sure the Orioles topped all those methods, at least when it comes to appropriateness to their location. League commissioner and All-Star closer Jim Johnson, along with reliever Darren O'Day, came up with a uniquely Maryland solution when they arranged for a footrace between blue crabs representing each player's team.

Chris Davis' contestant was victorious, and he can only hope his first pick will be as successful for him this NFL season as the crab was.
