On his 34th birthday, let's watch Albert Pujols crush his first career home run

Albert Pujols turns 34 today. 492 home runs, 2,347 hits, three MVP Awards, two World Series rings and he's only 34. The former Cardinal/current Angel is the active leader in OPS at 1.0085. He's played in nine All-Star Games and holds an incredible .330/.439/.607 postseason slash line. Apologies, Brad Lidge.

But all this probably could've been predicted upon seeing Pujols hit his very first homer on April 6, 2001. It was an absolute no-doubter. The 21-year-old would go on to club 37 long balls, win NL Rookie of the Year honors and finish fourth in the NL MVP race.

Pujols, HR
