He, his wife Wilquidia, daughter Emili (10/21/96) and sons Rafael (8/25/99) and Felix Jr. (2/11/02) reside in Barahona, DR during the off-season...Pitched for Escogido in the Dominican Winter League following the 1996 season, posting a 1-1 record, 4.35 ERA and 11 saves in 21 outings -- led the league with 11 saves...Posted a 3-3 record and 1.67 ERA (37.2IP/7ER) in seven outings for Azucareros in the Dominican Winter League following the 2006 season.
2006
Released by the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 24, he signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians on March 25 and was assigned to Triple A Buffalo...Released by the Indians organizaton on May 12 after appearing in eight games with Buffalo...Earned the win in his only appearance with Monterrey in the Mexican League after joining the club on July 29.
2005
The veteran left-handed pitcher who turned 30 in June appeared in three games -- all losses -- in April before numbness in his pitching hand prompted assignment to the disabled list. He underwent surgery to repair an aneurysm in his left shoulder in June and missed the remainder of the season. The Mets have an option on his contract for 2006 for $2.5 million.

In his only season with Toronto, was 1-2 with a 3.61 ERA in 53 relief appearances...left-handed batters hit just .224...worked at least 2.0 IP 10 times...in 23 games after the All-Star Break posted a 1.83 ERA...in August went 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA and did not allow a run in seven appearances in September (seven games)...did not allow a run in 19 of his final 20 appearances of the season.

Made 48 appearances in relief for the Cubs and was 2-2 with a 6.17 ERA...missed the final six weeks of the season after two trips to the disabled list...opened the season with 12 scoreless outings...his first runs of the season came on 5/25 on a two-run home run by Colorado's Todd Helton...was 1-0 in April with a 2.45 ERA...won his first two decisions of the season to give him a six-game winning streak dating back to 2000...through 7/6 his season ERA was 3.86 (12ER in 28.0IP) in 36 games...in his final 12 outings he posted an ERA of 15.40 after allowing 12 ER in 7.0IP...made final appearance of the season on 8/20 vs. Milwaukee, facing four batters and allowing 3ER...was then placed on the disabled list from 8/21-9/5 due to left shoulder soreness...he was activated from the D.L. on 9/5 and then was returned to the D.L. on 9/18 with an emergency appendectomy in Cincinnati.

Appeared in a career-high 74 games to rank eighth in the National League...Was 7-3 with two saves and a 4.76 ERA...Held opposing batters to a .220 average with left-handed batters at .193...Stranded 45 of his team-high 62 inherited runners...Finished the season on a four game win streak, was 4-0 with a 3.71 ERA in 30 appearances after the All-Star break...Recorded his first save of the season May 21 vs. Cincinnati...Pitched 3.0 innings for his second save of the season on September 24 vs St. Louis.

Made a team-high 69 relief appearances and was 3-1 with a save and a 4.85 ERA...Recorded 50 strikeouts in 52.0 innings of work...Stranded 41 of 60 inherited runners...Started the season strong, after ten games had a 1-0 record and a 1.50 ERA at the end of April...Lone save came on May 1 vs San Diego in a 2-1 win...Struggled in June (8.44 ERA, 14 games) and September (8.53 ERA, 10 games) - in the other 45 games he had a 3.09 ERA (12 ER/35.0 IP)...Won his first three decisions to give him a six game winning streak since joining the Cubs in 1998.
1998
Split the season between the Marlins and the Cubs...In a combined 71 games was 3-3 with two saves and an ERA of 5.06...On July 31was acquired by Chicago from Florida as part of a five-player trade...Opened the season with the Marlins appearing in 41 games, two starts, and was 0-3 with two saves and a 5.49 ERA...Made his first ML start on April 1 against the Cubs and lost 10-3 after four earned runs in 5.0 innings pitched...Earned his first ML save on April 15 after striking out the side against the Phillies in a 3-2 victory...Made 30 relief appearances with the Cubs and was 3-0 with a 4.08 ERA...Earned his first win as a Cub on August 21 vs San Francisco.
1997
Appeared in 56 games for the World Series-champion Marlins, was 5-3 with a 4.29 ERA...Held left-handed batters to a .188 average (13-69)...From April 30 through the All-Star break, he allowed only two earned runs in 27.1 innings (0.66 ERA)...Pitched a career high 17.2 consecutive scoreless innings over 11 games from May 23 to June 30...At the plate collected his ML hit on May 12 off Houston's John Hudek...In the post-season appeared in four World Series games against Cleveland and did not allow a run in 5.1 innings...In Game 6 of the World Series fanned four batters in 2.0 innings.
