Named the eighth recipient of the Darryl Kile Good Guy of the Year Award in 2009. ... Pitched three collegiate seasons (1991-93) for the University of North Carolina-Greensboro...became the first Spartan to be drafted in Major League Baseball's First-Year Player Draft when Detroit selected him in the sixth round of the 1993 Draft. ... Began the 2007-08 seasons as a non-roster invitee to Major League Spring Training...pitched his way onto the team in both Springs. ... Signed to a contract extension on Aug. 29, 2008, that ran through the 2009 season...the deal also included a club option for the 2010 season that was picked up on Oct. 8, 2009.
2009
On Oct. 8, the Astros exercised the 2010 option on his contract...finished the 2009 season with an 8-12 record and a 5.47 ERA (94ER/154.2IP) in 29 starts for Houston, marking his most starts in a single season since starting 29 in 2000 for Detroit...his 154.2 innings pitched are his most since 2005 (158.1IP)...on Oct. 5, underwent successful surgery on his right knee to repair a torn meniscus...the surgery was performed by Dr. David Lintner at The Methodist Hospital in Houston...Dr. Lintner also removed some loose bodies during the procedure...missed 18 games from April 14-May 4 while on the 15-day Disabled List with a right knee sprain...excluding his first two and his last two starts of the season, went 8-8 with a 4.25 ERA (68ER/144IP) in his other 25 starts...did not allow more than three runs in eight of his 10 starts from July 31-Sept. 19, including a span of seven consecutive starts from Aug. 15-Sept. 19 with three-or-fewer runs

Went 11-8 with a 4.56 ERA (76ER/150IP) in 31 games in 2008...made 26 starts in 2008, his most starts in a season since starting 29 games in 2000 with Detroit...his 11 wins were also his most since 12 in 2000...after moving into the rotation on May 9, went 11-8 with a 4.43 ERA (70ER/142.1IP) in 26 starts...ranked second among Astros pitchers in wins (Oswalt, 17) and third in games started (Oswalt, 32; Backe, 31)...was 6-4 with a 4.84 ERA (40ER/74.1IP) in 14 starts after the All-Star Break...won 7 of his last 11 decisions since July 9...recorded a five-game winning streak from July 9-Aug. 19, his longest since his career-high six-game winning streak from Aug. 2-Sept. 5, 2000...the streak ties for the longest by a Houston pitcher in 2008 (Oswalt)...the Astros were 16-10 in his 26 starts, and he allowed four-runs-or-less in 20 of his 26 starts in 2008...his 4.28 ERA in the first half was his lowest before the All- Star Break since a career-best, 3.27 ERA in the first half of 2005...on July 29 vs. CIN, allowed two runs in 8.2 innings, his longest start since going 9.0 on Aug. 8, 2000 vs. BAL...earned his first win of the season in his first start on May 9 vs. LAD, after tossing 5.0 scoreless innings...made four relief appearances in April 2008...signed to a one-year contract extension through the 2009 season with a club option for 2010 on Aug. 29...made the club in 2008 after entering the season as a non-roster invitee to Major League Spring Training.

Went 7-11 with a 6.57 ERA (89ER/122IP) in 29 games (21 starts) for the Marlins in 2006...finished fifth among Marlins pitchers with 21 starts and 122.0 innings...was 5-11 with a 7.29 ERA in 21 starts and went 2-0 with a 2.45 ERA in relief appearances...began the season as a starter and went 5-7 with a 6.84 ERA in 15 starts before landing on the 15-day DL with a right foot sprain from July 2-30...made the start on July 30 in Game Two of a doubleheader in Philadelphia, after being reinstated from the DL...charged with his eighth loss of the season, allowing four earned runs in 5.1 innings...had three consecutive scoreless outings from Aug. 23-29, allowing just three hits in 6.0 innings...returned to the starting rotation on Sept. 4, and made five starts in the season's final month, going 0-3 with a 9.15 ERA...used twice as a pinch-hitter, the first two pinch-hit appearances of his career...had a sacrifice bunt as a pinch-hitter on May 17 at Atlanta and was hit by a pitch as pinch-hitter on Aug. 2 vs. New York Mets.

Went 6-12 with 4.55 ERA in 25 starts... his 25 starts were most in a season since he made 29 with Detroit in 2000... Made 12 relief appearances, a career-high... was 0-1 with 4.87 ERA as a reliever in 2005... made 37 apperances combined on the season, a new career-high... previous high was set in 1998 while with Detroit, when he made 33 apperances (all starts)... Picked up first win of the season on April 19 at Washington, allowing one earned run on six hits and two walks with four strikeouts... first Major League win since August 16, 2002, against Houston while with Cincinnati, a span of 977 days between wins... won four consecutive starts from July 2 through July 20... tied with Josh Beckett and Dontrelle Willis for fourth-longest win streak by a Marlins pitcher in 2005... win on July 20 was last win he recorded in 2005... Posted a 4-6 record with a 3.27 ERA in 19 games (15 starts) prior to the All-Star Break... was 2-6 with 6.67 ERA in 18 games (10 starts) after the break... allowed three runs or less in 16 of 25 starts.... posted an 0-5 record with 7.68 ERA over his last eight starts of the season, all Marlins losses... ranked 10th in the Majors, fourth in the NL and first on the Marlins in ERA for the month of May at 2.05... Recorded his first Major League hit on May 10 with a single against Houston's Brandon Backe... recorded first Major League RBI against Seattle's Ryan Franklin on June 7, a two-run single to center... for season, batted .075 (3x40) with one double, three RBI and one run scored... recorded first career extra-base hit on July 20 at Arizona when he doubled off Greg Aquino.
2004
Despite spending April and the beginning of May on the disabled list, made a 20 starts with AA Greenville for the first time since 2000 with Detroit when he made 29 ... went 3-9 a 4.17 ERA with Greenville while allowing 27 walks and 57 strikeouts in 108.0 innings pitched.
2003
Made just three starts with Houston after having season-ending elbow surgery ... went 0-3 with a 7.90 ERA in 13.2 innings ... allowed 22 hits, 12 runs, four home runs (three in his first start of the season, April 4 at St. Louis), six walks and five strikeouts.
2002
A year removed from shoulder surgery, combined to go 3-5 with a 4.86 ERA in 12 starts (13 appearances) with Detroit and Cincinnati ... went 1-1 with a 2.29 ERA in three starts for Detroit prior to being traded to Cincinnati where he went 2-4 with a 6.02 ERA in nine starts (10 appearances) ... got his first Major League victory since September 5, 2000 on July 3 vs. Chicago (AL) throwing seven shutout innings in his first appearance since April 6, 2001 ... the start was one day shy of the one-year anniversary of his shoulder surgery ... retired 17 of the first 19 batters he faced ... earned the victory in his Cincinnati debut on July 24 ... made his shortest start of the season on August 21 at Arizona allowing six earned runs through 2.0 innings and went just 2.1 innings in his next start vs. St. Louis before going on the disabled list for the second time of the season on August 28-September 12 with inflammation in his surgically-repaired rotator cuff.
2001
Had his season cut short after just one regular season start where he experienced problems with his right shoulder ... gave up three earned runs on six hits through eight innings and received a no decision in his only start on April 5 vs. Minnesota ... in late May, Moehler experienced more shoulder discomfort and an examination by Dr. James Andrews revealed a strain in a muscle in his right shoulder unrelated to his previous shoulder tendinitis ... transferred to the 60- day DL on June 15 and had arthroscopic surgery on July 4 which revealed tears in the rotator cuff and labrum.
2000
Led Detroit with 12 wins in his fourth full season in the Majors marking his fourth straight season with 10 plus wins and 175 or more innings pitched ... went 12-9 with a 4.50 ERA and two complete games in 29 starts ... pitched six or more innings in 21 of his 29 starts ... started the first game in Comerica Park history (also the 100th start of his career) on April 11 vs. Seattle ... scratched from his April 23 start at Chicago (AL) due to an emergency appendectomy ... placed on the disabled list retroactive to April 17 ... activated from the DL on May 19 making the start at Boston ... defeated St. Louis on June 10 allowing one run in seven innings and issued his first walk since May 19, a span of 26.0 innings ... established a career-high six-game winning streak from August 2-September 5 through seven starts, posted a 2.61 ERA (14 ER in 48.1 IP) during the stretch ... struck out a season-high eight batters at Baltimore on August 31 ... in six August starts went 5-0 with a 2.13 ERA (10 ER in 42.1 IP)
1999
Went 10-16 with a 5.04 ERA in 32 starts with Detroit falling just short of back-to-back 200 plus inning seasons with 196.1 innings pitched ... earned the win in his first career Opening Day start, 11-5; held Texas hitless for the first 6.1 innings before Juan Gonzalez singled to break up the no-hitter ... tied for second in the AL with two shutouts (June 25 vs. Minnesota and August 30 vs. Texas) ... set a season-low by allowing three hits in his second shutout ... his complete game on June 25 snapped a club-record of 71 straight games to open a season without a pitcher posting a complete game... was ejected from his start on May 1 at Tampa Bay for illegally defacing the ball... was subsequently issued a 10-game suspension by the American League on May 3... surrendered two home runs in his last 60.0 innings and three in his final 73.1 innings... did not give up a homer in five straight starts from August 14-September 4... was the winning pitcher for the final game at Tiger Stadium on September 27, his last start of the season... led Detroit to an 8-2 victory over Kansas City tossing six innings and striking out five.
1998
Finished the season 14-13 with a 3.90 ERA in 33 starts leading the Tigers in wins, ERA, and shutouts (3) ... set career highs in wins, innings pitched (221.1), starts (33), shutouts, complete games (4) and strikeouts (123) ... his three shutouts tied for second in the league behind David Well's five and were the most by a Tiger since Jack Morris had six in 1986 ... his 222.1 innings were the 10th most in the AL and joined teammate Justin Thompson as the first Tigers duo to each pitch 200 or more innings in the same season since 1991 ... started the season 9-0 at home (12 starts), the first Tiger pitcher to do so ... posted a 1.97 ERA (19 ER in 87.0 IP) during that stretch ... tossed his first shutout and second complete game of the season on May 30 against Chicago (AL) as he allowed seven hits and did not allow a walk ... threw a five-hit shutout at Pittsburgh on June 30 ... defeated Toronto on July 11 at Tiger Stadium and took a no-hitter through seven innings.
1997
Went 11-12 with a 4.67 ERA in 31 starts for Detroit winning the most games by a Tigers rookie since Dave Rozema won 15 in 1997 ... finished second among AL rookie pitchers in wins, ERA (4.67) and starts (31) ... tied for third among all Major League rookies in victories ... earned his first Major League victory April 20 vs. Oakland allowing two runs through seven innings ... tossed his first career shutout six days later on April 26 at Anaheim, allowing two hits and no walks ... became the first Tigers rookie to toss a shutout since Jeff Robinson on August 7, 1987 against New York (AL) ... finished 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA in five April starts earning Tigers Pitcher of the Month honors.
