Spent part of his 5th season in the majors, his first since 2001 as a member of the New York Yankees...Set career highs for games and innings pitched. Lowered his ERA each month with the O's...Opponents batted .232 off him. Was scored on in 2 of his first 4 Orioles appearances and pitched to a 4.60 ERA in his first 14 games (15.2IP, 8ER)...Beginning August 22, he pitched to a 1.15 ERA (15.2IP, 2ER) and did not allow a run in 14 of his last 15 appearances. Went to spring training with Texas as a non-roster invitee, one of 3 players in the Rangers' camp who saw time with the Orioles...Williams, C Ken Huckaby and OF David Newhan all began the season with Oklahoma before joining the O's.
