John-Ford David... Single... Played baseball and football at Sarasota High School... Was All-State in baseball all three years... Batted .500 in his sophomore year... Attended Florida State University... Batted over .400 in each of his three season with the Seminoles, posting a career mark of .427, a school record... Hobbies include fishing, hunting and golf.

Appeared in a Club high 133 games with the Syracuse Chiefs (AAA) this season...Batted .252 with 26 HR & 83 RBI & owned a .488 slugging %...LEADING THE WAY: His 26 HR ranked 2nd in the International League & was 2nd in extra base hits with 58...Led his Club with 28 doubles...SOME RECOGNITION: Was selected to play in the Triple A All Star Game in Albuquerque (went 0-for-1)...Was named the Star of the Month for April, batting .264 (19-72) with five HR & 14 RBI in 21 contests...Was named the Star of the Month for June, batting .306 (30-98) with nine HR & 18 RBI in 28 games...Had an OPS of 1.033 in June including 16 extra base hits...Hit a home run in three straight games on two occasions this season...Had his contract purchased by Toronto from Syracuse on Sept. 22 when the Club was in New York...Made his season debut at Yankee Stadium on Sept. 22 (PH-BB)...Appeared in six games with the Jays, batted .300 (3-10) with a 2B, HR & 3 RBI...Hit a home run on Sept. 29 vs. TB, his 1st since Oct. 2, 2005 vs. KC & the 2nd of his career.

A September call-up after winning the R. Howard Webster Award for Syracuse of the International League (AAA), he batted .308 with a home run and six RBI in seven games... FIRST TIME: Made his Major League debut on Sept. 6 at BAL, collecting his first hit, a double... Drove in his first run, Sept. 16 vs. NYY... Drove in four runs Sept. 30 vs. KC... Hit his first career home run on the final day of the regular season, Oct. 2 vs. KC, launching a solo shot to right off Jimmy Gobble with one out in the sixth inning... IN THE MINORS: Selected as Syracuse's MVP and an International League All-Star after leading the league with 30 home runs and 103 RBI... LEADING THE WAY: Became the first SkyChief to lead the IL in both categories since Mack Jones did so in 1964... His 103 RBI established a new Club record, breaking the previous mark of 102, shared by Jones (1964) and Chad Mottola (2000)... Established two other Club records, hitting safely in 13 straight games to start the season, the longest hit streak to begin a campaign in SkyChiefs history, and by homering in four straight games, August 29 to September 1... YOU'RE A STAR: Was a two-time selection as a Blue Jays Minor League Star of the Month being honoured in both April and May, when he combined to hit .271 with ten home runs and 39 RBI in 49 games... Selected to participate in the Triple A All-Star Game as one of the International League's starting outfielders... Became the first SkyChief selected to the year-end International League All-Star Team since Cesar Izturis and Matt Dewitt were honoured in 2001.

Led New Hampshire with 22 home runs, 81 RBI, 212 total bases and a .454 slugging percentage... Was placed on the disabled list (right wrist) from April 8-15... Overall, batted .248 with 51 of his 116 hits going for extra bases (28 doubles, 1 triple & 22 home runs)... Had five hit streaks of five or more consecutive games, including a season- high seven-game spree between June 29 and July 4... Between June 29 and July 12, hit safely in 13 of 14 games overall, batting .360 (18-50) during that stretch... Hit three home runs and drove in 10 runs during those 14 games... Walked in all four plate appearances on May 31 against Portland... Drove in a season-high four runs on a pair of doubles on June 12 in a win over Trenton... Set monthly highs in August with 30 hits, 11 doubles and a .286 batting average... Batted .208 in the playoffs with a home run, four RBI and a team-high five base on balls.
