Split the 2009 season between AAA Rochester and the Minnesota Twins...With the Twins he hit .235 (32-136) with 3 2B, 1 3B, 2HR and 12 RBI in 61 games...He also hit .306 (11-36) in 14 second half games for the AL Central champs...He appeared in 25 games at third base and 13 games at first base for the Twins...Made the Twins Opening Day roster for the first time in his career...Hit in five straight games, collecting five RBI and scoring four runs, May 8-17...Optioned to Triple-A Rochester, August 1...Recalled to Minnesota, September 1...Went 3-for-4, September 9 at Toronto (off Roy Halladay)...Was 5 for 17 (.294) in 7 September games and hit .270 (17-63) with runners on and .313 (10-32) with RISP for the Twins on the year.
