Made his Major League debut with a relief outing, April 21st at Baltimore...Also worked 1.2 innings out of the bullpen, April 24th vs. Toronto, for his only other major league appearance...Began the season at Charlotte (AAA) of the International League...His first 11 appearances of the year were out of the bullpen...Beginning on May 25th vs. Columbus, 18 of his last 19 outings came as a starter...As a starter, he was 5-11 with a 4.47 ERA in 18 games...In 90.2 innings, he gave up 105 hits, 57 runs, 45 earned, with 26 walks and 63 strikeouts...Out of the bullpen, he went 1-0 with one save and an 8.00 ERA in 12 games...In 18.0 innings, he surrendered 27 hits, 16 runs and seven walks while striking out 15...Won three straight starts from May 25th-June 5th...Secured victories over Columbus twice and Toledo...Struck out 12 and gave up two earned runs in 16.0 innings (1.13 ERA) over his winning streak...Went a season-high 8.0 innings with a season's best seven strikeouts to defeat Buffalo on June 27th...Allowed one run and four hits and did not walk a batter.

Spent most of the season with Triple-A Charlotte, going 4-12 with a 4.65 ERA (67 er/129.2IP) in 24 games (22 starts)...also made one start with Double-A Birmingham...began the season on the disabled list with right elbow inflammation...was activated from the disabled list on 4/18 and made his lone start with Birmingham vs. Mississippi (nd, 1 er/4.0 IP)...was transferred to the Knights on 4/22...was 0-4 with a 7.55 ERA (26 ER/31.0IP) in his first seven games (six starts) at Charlotte, but went 4-8 with a 3.73 ERA (41 ER/98.2 IP) the remainder of the season...tossed a seven-inning shutout on 7/9-2 vs. Rochester (2 H)...appeared in just two spring contests due to a right elbow injury...entered the season ranked by Baseball America as the No. 3 prospect in the Sox organization...also tabbed by the same publication as possessing the best control.

2007

Named to the Southern League's mid-season All-Star team...Also picked as a starting pitcher in the Arizona Fall League's Rising Star Showcase Game.

2006

Led all White Sox minor league pitchers with a 2.67 ERA over stops at Winston Salem (A) of the Carolina League and Birmingham (AA) of the Southern League.

2005

Led all Minor League pitchers with three shutouts while in his first season at Kannapolis (A) of the South Atlantic League.
