Began his season with Reading (AA)... Posted a 0.96 ERA (1 ER, 9.1 IP) through his first 7 appearances... Averaged 9.9 SO/9.0 IP... Was promoted to Ottawa (AAA) in mid-May... Had a 0.62 ERA (2 ER, 28.1 IP) in 18 of his first 19 appearances; lone exception came 5/25 at Charleston (1.2 IP,7 ER)... Was recalled on 7/1... Made his ML debut, 7/7 at COL (0.2 IP, 2 H, R, ER)... Was optioned back to Ottawa on 7/14 where he finished the season. start.
