Eric Lynn Hacker...wife Christine (Wells)...2002 graduate of Duncanville (TX) High School...was the starting quarterback in his senior year at Duncanville before breaking his foot in the second game of the season...2002 third-team Class 5A All-State pitcher in Texas, along with current Twins pitcher Jeff Manship.
2011
Was an invite to Twins Spring Training...optioned to Triple-A Rochester, March 14 and spent his first season in the Twins organization...Pitched in three games, making two starts for the Red Wings...was recalled by Minnesota, April 19...Made his season debut with 0.1 scoreless inning of relief with one hit allowed, April 18 at Baltimore...Appeared in his second and final game with the Twins, allowing one run (none earned) on two hits in 3.1 innings, April 27 vs. Tampa Bay...Optioned to Triple-A Rochester, April 27...made 23 appearances (all starts) for Rochester through the rest of the season.

Spent the season with Triple-A Fresno...won each of his first five decisions for the Grizzlies and seven of his first eight, April 10-May 18...did not allow a home run in those eight starts (45.0 ip)...Posted a record of 8-0 in 10 starts, July 4-August 20, improving his record to 16-5 at the time...dropped his final three starts, August 25-September 4, finishing the season at 16-8...Tossed a season-high 8.1 innings, August 5 at Round Rock...Posted a season-high of eight strikeouts three times: April 21 vs. Reno, April 27 at Portland and July 21 vs. Salt Lake...Recorded 14 quality starts (29 total starts)...pitched 6.0-plus innings in 15 starts and 7.0-plus in seven starts...Led the Pacific Coast League in wins and starts, was fourth in strikeouts and sixth in innings pitched...Was the first pitcher since 2002 (Steve Randolph, Tucson) to win 15 games in the Pacific Coast League...first pitcher since 1995 to post at least 16 wins in the PCL, the previous being Donne Wall, winning 17 games for Tucson.

Made Major League debut after spending 8 seasons in Minors, although it was brief call-up in Sept., where he appeared in just 3 games, allowing 2 runs in 3.0 innings of work...prior to joining Pirates, went 6-7 with 4.45 ERA (147.2 IP, 73 ER) and 102 strikeouts in 27 combined starts between Trenton (Yankees' AA), Scranton-Wilkes Barre (Yankees' AAA) and Indianapolis (Pirates' AAA)...allowed 1 run apiece in 2 of his 3 starts with Trenton before being promoted to Scranton April 25...struck out 8 batters in 6.0 innings but suffered loss in 1st start with Scranton April 28 vs. Louisville...was charged with combined 9 runs in final 2 starts (10.0 IP) with Scranton before being acquired by Pirates May 16...surrendered just 2 home runs in his 1st 16 starts with Indianapolis, including none in 10-start stretch from June 25 through Aug. 13...allowed 1 unearned run in 5.2 innings but came away with no-decision in Indianapolis debut May 21 at Charlotte...had no-decision in 1st 3 starts with Indians before winning for 1st time June 6 at Buffalo (7.0 IP, 2 ER)...went 0-3 in 4-start stretch from July 2-19...snapped 3-game losing streak after allowing 1 unearned run in 7.0 innings July 24 vs. Buffalo...went 3-0 in 4 starts from July 24-Aug. 8...tied for 3rd among all International League hurlers with 31 strikeouts during month of August...took home International League Pitcher of Week honors for week of Aug. 3-9...was roughed up for season high 10 runs Aug. 18 at Louisville...allowed combined 4 earned runs in final 3 starts (16.1 IP)...posted 7.29 ERA (21.0 IP, 17 ER) in 1st inning with Indianapolis but 3.30 ERA (95.1 IP, 35 ER) from the 2nd inning on...held right-handed batters to.248 average (67-for-270) while lefties hit at.374 clip (68-for-182) against him while pitching with Indianapolis...was recalled by Pittsburgh at conclusion of Triple-A season Sept. 8...made ML debut Sept. 22 vs. Cincinnati; gave up 2 runs in 1.0 IP...did not give up run in his final 2 outings (2.0 IP).

Combined to go 9-6 with a 2.43 ERA in 26 starts with Single-A Tampa and Double-A Trenton, ranking second among Yankees farmhands and 13th in the minors in ERA...opponents batted .233 (121-for-519, 4HR); LH .245 (52-for-212, 2HR), RH .225 (69-for-307, 2HR)...limited opponents to 3R or less in all but one start...Began the season with Tampa, going 2-2 with a 1.87 ERA in nine starts...did not allow an earned run in six of his nine starts, holding opponents scoreless four times...Named Florida State League "Pitcher of the Week" for the period from 4/8-14...made two starts during the stretch, but did not record a decision, despite allowing just 2H and 1BB and striking out 10 batters over 14.0 scoreless innings...threw 7.0 no-hit innings but did not record a decision in his second start of the season on 4/8 vs. Dunedin...Made four straight starts without giving up an earned run from 4/8-24 w/ Tampa (27.0IP, 7H, 2R, 2BB, 18K)...allowed a career-high 11H and a career-high-tying 7ER over 5.0IP on 5/21 vs. Vero Beach...Was promoted to Trenton on 5/28 and made 17 starts, going 7-4 with a 2.76 ERA...held his opponent to 2ER or less 14 times...Established a season high with 7K over 4.0IP in his first start at the Double-A level on 5/28 vs. New Hampshire...tossed 6.2 shutout innings on 6/25 vs. Erie...Went 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA in two postseason starts for the Eastern League-champion Thunder (11.2IP, 8H, 2ER, 3BB, 6K, 2HP), recording the win in Game 1 of the Eastern League Division Series vs. Portland and Game 1 of the finals vs. Akron.

Started the season with Single-A Charleston and went 9-2, winning each of his final six decisions, June 25-August 29...tossed 5.0 hitless innings, August 17 vs. Augusta...was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a left femur contusion, August 7-17...transferred to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, September 2 and made his final appearance of the season, September 3, tossing 2.2 innings in his Triple-A debut.
2006
Missed the entire season after undergoing right shoulder scope.
2005
Spent the season with Single-A Charleston, going 5-2 in 10 starts...was selected as a mid-season All-Star for the South Atlantic League...held opponents to one run-or-less in seven starts, including 8.0 shutout innings in his final start, July 2 vs. Rome...was placed on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, July 3 and missed the remainder of the season.
2004
Missed the entire season after undergoing "Tommy John" surgery on his right elbow.
2003
Started the season with the GCL Yankees, posting a 3-2 record with a 2.86 ERA (28.1 ip, 9 er) and 26 strikeouts in seven games (five starts)...transferred to Single-A Staten Island, August 6...made two starts with Single-A Staten Island before being place on the disabled list with a right elbow strain, missing the rest of the season.
