Name is pronounced "YOUNG-men"...Attended Rogers (TX) High School for three years and then Georgetown (TX) High School...As a senior was named 2008 Texas Player of the Year by Gatorade and Louisville Slugger...Attended the University of Texas.....was selected 2011 Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Year...Earned First Team All-Big 12 honors and Big 12 All-Academic recognition in 2010 and 2011...Won the 2011 Dick Howser Trophy as the top collegiate player in the country and was a finalist for the 2011 Golden Spikes Award, which is given to the top amateur player in the country ...Was selected to the 2009 College World Series All-Tournament Team...Enjoys video games and reading biographies.

2016

Went 0-5 with a 7.76 ERA in 8 games (6 starts) with Milwaukee...Made his first career Opening Day roster...Went 0-4 with a 9.15 ERA over his first 5 starts of the season before he was optioned on 4/29 to Triple-A Colorado Springs...Went 1-3 with a 9.87 ERA in 8 starts at Colorado Springs and was transferred on 6/30 to Double-A Biloxi, where he went 3-4 with a 2.51 ERA in 13 starts...Was recalled on 9/6 and went 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA in 3 games (1 start) the rest of the season.

2015

Entered 2014 as the sixth-best prospect in the organization according to Baseball America...Went a combined 12-10 with a 3.57 ERA in 28 games (27 starts) between Double-A Huntsville and Triple-A Nashville...Was a Southern League All-Star...His 147 strikeouts led all Brewers minor leaguers and 12 wins tied for second...Was named Brewers Minor League Pitcher of the Month for August (6gs, 3-1, 1.80)...Was added to the 40-man roster on 11/20

2013

Entered 2013 as the third-best prospect in the organization according to Baseball America...Went 10-10 with a 4.33 ERA in 26 starts at Double-A Huntsville.....opponents batted just .232...Was a Southern League All-Star...Was named Brewers Minor League Pitcher of the Month for June (5gs, 3-1, 1.67)...Made three starts with the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League before a left groin injury

2012

Entered 2012 as the second-best prospect in the organization according to Baseball America...Went 11-6 with a 3.53 ERA in 26 starts at Class-A Brevard County...Tied for the Florida State League lead in wins (11) and ranked second in innings (153.0)...Was named Brewers Minor League Pitcher of the Month for August (6gs, 3-0, 1.96)
