Luke and his wife, Corinne, have two children: a son, Jett Jackson (born in September 2021) and a daughter, Sunny Jean Jackson (born September 2023)...Attended Calvary Christian High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla...Went 8-0 with a 0.90 ERA his senior year of High School, compiling 87 strikeouts with three shutouts and two saves...Hit also two home runs and recorded 21 RBI at the plate...His father, Ed, played football at Florida State on the same team as Deion Sanders...He’s now an entrepreneur and in the insurance business...Is making a donation to the Giants Community Fund in each of his seasons in SF ($15,000 in 2023, $32,500 in 2024 and $35,000 in 2025 if the club option is exercised)...Luke and Corinne are foodies and have a spreadsheet that they track all of the places they have eaten (best cities, best coffee shops, best restaurants, etc)...Will fill it out home and road and has been doing so since his Minor League travels...Luke is more of a donut & coffee shop in the mornings while Corinne favors smoothies and then they rank their dinners...The Jacksons have traveled all over the world, visiting six of seven continents...For two consecutive summers when Luke was in middle school, the Christian family worked, ministered and lived at an orphanage in Russia...After their second summer there, the Jacksons purchased property in Russia and built a new orphanage...The family also has spent time in Africa (Johannesburg, Zimbabwe and Tanzania), also with orphaned children and also building schools and ministering to mothers and fathers dying of AIDS.

Underwent Tommy John surgery in April and missed the entire 2022 season, which was his final year with the Braves.

2021

In his seventh major-league season went 2-2 with a 1.98 ERA (14 ER/63.2 IP) and 31 holds in 71 appearances out of the bullpen...Among pitchers with as many appearances, his 14 earned runs were tied for the second-fewest in baseball...Became the first Atlanta pitcher with at least 70 appearances and a sub 2.00 ERA since Luis Avilán in 2013...His 31 holds were the second-most in the majors and the most by a Braves reliever since Jonny Venters recorded 35 holds in 2011.

2020

In his sixth major-league season went 2-0 with a 6.84 ERA (20 ER/26.1 IP) in 19 appearances out of the bullpen...In his 19 relief appearances, Jackson induced 60 ground balls, the most among relievers in baseball…An average of 3.16 ground balls per outing... Among relievers with 19 or more appearances, his 1.1 average innings per appearance is the highest in the majors... Returned to Texas on 5/16 until returning to Round Rock on 6/9...Also up from 6/22-7/3...Spent the remainder of the season with Frisco, striking out better than a batter per inning (32 SO/241. IP)...For the minor league season, compiled a 1-1 record and a 3.69 ERA (19 ER/46.1 IP) in 36 games out of the bullpen...Also had three saves. 

2015

Had no record and a 4.26 ERA (3 ER/6.1 IP) in seven games over two stints (Aug. 8-10 and Sept. 1-end of season) with Texas in his first ML action…rated as the club's 12th-best prospect by Baseball America prior to the season and made the conversion to the bullpen in early May after starting 97 of his first 101 pro games… had a career-best 10.7 SO/9 with Round Rock, including 12.7 SO/9 as a reliever.

2014

Combined to go 9-5 with a 5.40 ERA (74 ER/123.1 IP) in 26 games/24 starts for Frisco (AA) and Round Rock (AAA)...his 126 strikeouts ranked 3rd among all Texas minor league pitchers...added to 40-man roster on 11/20/14 as protection from Rule 5 Draft...prior to season, rated by Baseball America as Rangers' no. 7 prospect.
