Made his third consecutive Opening Day roster...Posted a 2.45 ERA (7 ER, 25.2 IP) over his first 23 games of the season (through 5/24) with 17 scoreless appearances...Made the second start of his ML career on 5/15 at SF (ND, 0.2 IP, 2 H, BB, SO)...Worked more than 1.0 inning six times and 2.0+ innings twice...According to Statcast data, finished in the 90th percentile in extension (6.9)...Allowed six ER in 3.1 IP over a span of four games from 5/28-6/4; was optioned to Lehigh Valley (AAA) on 6/9 and spent the remainder of the season with the IronPigs...After the season, was a part of the club’s stay-ready camp in Clearwater for the duration of the postseason.
