2023

Began the year with Lehigh Valley (AAA) but also pitched for the Phillies over six stints...Made 14 appearances for the Phillies, all in relief...Nineof his appearances were scoreless...Earned the first save of his ML career on 6/13 at ARI after working the final 3.0 innings of the game...Converted five of his six save opportunities for the IronPigs over his 32 relief appearances for the team...After the season, was a part of the club’s stay-ready camp in Clearwater for the duration of the postseason.

2022

Spent the majority of the season with Sacramento (AAA) in SF’s Minor League system... Averaged 9.62 SO/9.0 IP (72 SO, 67.1 IP) with Sacramento... Had his contract selected by SF on 9/7 and appeared in six games in two stints over the remainder of the season... Pitched more than 1.0 inning in four of his six ML appearances, and five of his six appearances were scoreless.

2021

Spent the entire season at Triple-A Round Rock being used mostly as a reliever...did make four spot starts throughout the season... Averaged better than a strikeout per inning, whiffing 44 batters in 43.0 innings... Held right-handed batters to a .239 (22-for-92) average while lefties hit .297 (22-for-74)... Appeared in 22 games from May-July but then only pitched in five total games during August and September. 

2020

Ortiz did not see official game action after the minor league season was canceled due to the pandemic…was never a member of the Orioles’ 60-man player pool at the Alternate Training Site and did not participate in the Fall Instructional League…elected free agency on 11/2 and was signed by Texas as a minor league free agent on 12/16.

2019

Made one Major League appearance over two stints with the Orioles, taking the loss in a start on 6/14 vs. BOS (3.1 IP, 4 H, 4 ER, 2 HR, 5 BB, 3 SO)...whiffed Andrew Benintendi for his 1st MLB strikeout…spent the majority of the season at Norfolk (AAA), going 3-7 with a career-worst 6.38 ERA…placed on Norfolk’s injured list on 7/4 and made one more appearance the rest of the season, a rehab game on 8/15 for the GCL Orioles.

2018

Made 2 appearances/one start for the Orioles in his 1st ML action...had contract selected from Norfolk (AAA) on 9/4 and made ML debut in relief on 9/7 at TB (0.2 IP, 3 H, 3 R-ER, 2 BB, 0 SO)...made first ML start on 9/14 vs. CWS (1.2 IP, 4 H, 3 R-1 ER, 1 BB, 0 SO)…combined to go 5-5 with a 3.70 ERA over 22 games/17 starts in the minors with Biloxi (MIL AA) and Norfolk…traded by Milwaukee to Baltimore on 7/31, along with INF Jonathan Villar and INF Jean Carmona, in exchange for INF Jonathan Schoop...named to the 2018 SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game as a member of Team USA...was a non-roster invitee to Spring Training with Milwaukee...entered the season ranked as the no. 4 prospect in the Brewers organization by Baseball America.

2017

Spent the entire season with Biloxi, finishing 2nd on the staff with 20 starts…entered the season ranked as the no. 3 prospect in the Brewers organization by Baseball America.

2016

Acquired by Milwaukee from Texas, along with OF Lewis Brinson and a player to be named (OF Ryan Cordell on 9/5/16), in exchange for C Jonathan Lucroy and RHP Jeremy Jeffress on 8/1.
