Spent the entire season with Triple-A Rochester (WSH) after being optioned during Spring Training...Was 8-6 with a 5.64 ERA (75 ER/119.2 IP) with 113 hits (13 HR), 78 total runs, 15 hit batters, 94 walks and 107 strikeouts in 28 games, all starts, for the Red Wings; led all Minor Leaguers in walks...Threw a season-high seven innings, allowing one run on four hits (1 HR) with six strikeouts on Aug. 1 vs. Omaha...Held right-handed batters to a .203/.352/.289 (47-for-232) slash line; lefties hit .314/.455/.476 (66-for-210).

Went 0-2 with a 2.28 ERA in 13 starts across four levels of Boston’s Minor League system as he returned from June 2021 Tommy John ligament-replacement surgery... He struck out 66 batters and held opposing batters to a .212 batting average in 51.1 innings pitched...Recorded a 2.84 ERA with 15 strikeouts in four games (three starts) during the Arizona Fall League season.

2021

Attended Major League Spring Training as a non-roster invitee for the first time...Made two starts with before being placed on the Injured List with a forearm strain on May 19...Underwent Tommy John surgery on June 3.

2020

Did not play in 2020...Ranked by Baseball America as the Red Sox’ No. 10 prospect, as well as having the best control in the organization...Entered 2020 ranked by the publication as having the best slider in the Red Sox system.

2019

In 2019, named Red Sox Minor League Pitcher of the Year and a South Atlantic League mid-season All-Star...Made 13 starts with Single-A Greenville and 12 with High-A Salem in 2019, going 8-5 with a 2.14 ERA (30 ER/126.1 IP), a .198 opponent AVG, 157 SO, and only 6 HR allowed (0.43 HR/9.0 IP)...Surrendered 3 ER or fewer in each of his 25 starts in 2019, including 7 scoreless outings of at least 5.0 IP...From the beginning of the 2019 season until he was promoted to Salem on 6/20/19, led the South Atlantic League in ERA (1.99), strikeouts (87), and opponent AVG (.194).
