Schreiber completed his sixth big league season— and first with the Royals—in 2024, tying a career high with four wins and posting a 3.66 ERA (21 ER in 51.2 IP) across 59 appearances, one shy of Angel Zerpa (60) for the team lead...He posted a 2.25 ERA (4 ER in 16.0 IP) in 18 second-half games, cutting his ERA by more than two full points from his 4.29 ERA (17 ER in 35.2 IP) in the first half...Began the season by posting a 1.19 ERA (3 ER in 22.2 IP) across 23 appearances from Opening Day-May 25, during which he won three games, saved one and held opponents to a .595 OPS...From May 26-July 28, he went 0-3 with an 8.79 ERA (14 ER in 14.1 IP) and an .833 OPS across 20 games...He allowed three runs (one ER) on June 13 vs. the Yankees, including a home run to Anthony Rizzo...that homer snapped a career-best 31.0-inning homerless streak that began on Sept. 26, 2023, besting his previous streak of 27.1 innings (July 23-Sept. 22, 2022)...He threw one pitch on July 28 vs. the Cubs, stranding an inherited runner belonging to Cole Ragans in the sixth inning, but he did not return to the mound and exited with right knee patella tendon discomfort...Was placed on the Injured List on July 29 and missed 18 games with a right knee patella tendon strain...he was reinstated after pitching in two rehab games for Double-A Northwest Arkansas from Aug. 14-17...After being reinstated from the IL on Aug. 19, he finished the season by allowing four runs in 16 appearances (14.2 IP), logging 14 scoreless outings, including each of his final 10 games from Sept. 6-29 (9.1 IP)...Pitched in five of Kansas City’s six games during the 2024 postseason and did not allow a hit or run in his 3.2 scoreless innings.

Schreiber made his second Opening Day roster in 2023, his first with the Red Sox (also 2020 with Detroit)... Pitched to a 2.12 ERA (4 ER in 17.0 IP) through his first 18 games, but was placed on the 15-day Injured List with a right teres major strain on May 16 and missed 58 games... Was reinstated from the Injured List on July 25, but posted a 4.85 ERA (16 ER in 29.2 IP) across his final 28 appearances to finish the year... Pitched twice as an opener, making his first two Major League starts, on July 25 vs. Atlanta and Aug. 5 vs. Toronto... Walked only two batters over 11.1 innings across his first 11 games after returning from the IL (July 25-Aug. 19), but issued 15 free passes over 18.1 innings pitched in his remaining 17 games.

Earned the Red Sox’ Fireman Award (top relief pitcher) from the Boston Baseball Writers. Set career highs in appearances (64), wins (4), saves (8), innings pitched (65.0), strikeouts (74) and holds (22). Led Red Sox relievers in ERA (2.22), WHIP (0.98), opponent AVG (.195), holds, and saves (tied). His 1.7 FanGraphs WAR ranked second among Red Sox pitchers (Hill-1.8) and T-4th among AL relievers. Recorded the Sox’ longest scoreless streaks by innings (17.1) and appearances (19). Posted a 1.32 ERA in 33 home games (5 ER/34.0 IP) and a 3.19 ERA in 31 road games (11 ER/31.0 IP)... Owned the 11th-best home ERA in the majors. Held right-handed hitters to a .193 AVG (29-for-150) and left-handed hitters to a .198 AVG (16-for-81). Named Double A Erie's Pitcher of the Year in 2018 after appearing in 49 games, and going 3-7 with 18 saves, a 2.48 ERA (58.0IP/16ER) and 59 strikeouts...Ranked second in the Eastern League in saves, while he was tied for fourth in appearances...Did not allow an earned run in 22-of-24 outings from May 15-July 23, posting a 1-2 record with 10 saves, a 0.59 ERA (30.1IP/2ER) and 35 strikeouts...Pitched for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League following the season, and went 1-0 with a 7.00 ERA (9.0IP/7ER) and nine strikeouts.
