Michael James Stefanic…Graduated from Timberline High School in Boise, Idaho…Attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif…Named to the All-GSAC Team and the GSAC Gold Glove Team all four years during his collegiate career, becoming the first Westmont Warrior to earn either award all four years…As a senior, was named to the NAIA Gold Glove Team and received NAIA All-American Honorable Mention recognition, leading the team in average for the third season in a row (.392)…Finished his career at Westmont ranking first in program history in at-bats (757), runs scored (157), hits (275), doubles (50), total bases (357) and hit-by-pitches (37).

2025

Spent most of the season with Triple-A Buffalo but had a nine-game stint with Toronto in May…Was 4-for-22 (.182) with no extra-base hits, three walks (.280 on-base percentage) and three strikeouts with the Blue Jays...Went 4-for-18 (.222) against right-handed pitchers, 0-for-4 against lefties...Was 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position...Started six games at second base, played one game at shortstop and also pitched once...Batted .287 with six home runs and 51 RBI in 106 games with the Bisons, which was just the second time in seven seasons as a Minor Leaguer that he hit under .300 (.282 in 2019)...Also had his second-lowest marks in on-base percentage (.403), slugging percentage (.383) and OPS (.786)...Was hit by a pitch a career-high 15 times...Had more walks (59) than strikeouts (44) for the fourth consecutive season as a Minor Leaguer…Averaged 10.05 plate appearances per strikeout...Went 6-for-12 (50.0%) in stolen base attempts and is now 37-for-63 (58.7%) in his career...Ranked sixth in the International League in on-base percentage...Placed seventh in the Blue Jays' farm system in hits (104) and eighth in walks…Among full-season Toronto Minor Leaguers, had the best on-base percentage, ranked second in batting and tied for fifth in OPS...Hit .292 (86-for-295) with a .786 OPS against right-handed pitchers, .265 (18-for-68) with a .785 OPS against left-handers...Had a .333 batting average with runners in scoring position…Four of his six home runs came with runners on base...Batted .300 or better in four months (.338 in April, .307 in June, .314 in July and .326 in September)...Slugged all six of his home runs on the road; four gave the Bisons the lead...Made 37 starts at third base, 31 at second base, 26 at shortstop, seven at designated hitter and one at first base…Committed four errors as a shortstop (.953 fielding percentage), three at third (.967) and two at second (.980)...Hit .332 with a .441 on-base percentage in 50 starts batting second in the order…Also made 25 starts from the leadoff spot, 12 hitting sixth, seven batting seventh, six in the eight spot and two hitting third.

2024

Played 40 games for the Angels, batting .218 (24-for-110) with four doubles and eight RBI...Placed on the 10-day injured list on March 25 due to a left quad strain...Transferred to the 60-day IL on April 30...Sent on rehab assignment with the ACL Angels and then the Salt Lake Bees, before being activated from the injured list on May 29...After his return from injury, was reassigned to Triple-A Salt Lake...Appeared in 40 games at the Triple-A level, batting .389 (61-for-157) with 13 doubles, a pair of home runs, 33 RBI, 10.4% walk rate, 8.7% walk rate, 8.2% whiff rate, 19.5% chase rate, .417 wOBA, .510 SLG and a .966 OPS...Against right-handed pitching, batted .403 (48-for-119) with eight doubles, 27 RBI and a .967 OPS...Hit .439 against four-seam fastballs at the Triple-A level with a .507 OBP and a 1.069 OPS. 

2023

Recalled by Angels on June 16 and made season debut the following day at Kansas City...Played in 25 games across four Major League stints in 2023 and batted a career-high .290 (18/62)... Had career-long eight-game hit streak Sept. 20-27, batted .464 (13/28) with one run, one double, one triple, three RBI, and a 1.071 OPS during streak... Tallied first career three-hit game Sept. 25 vs. TEX... Had three consecutive multi-hit games Sept. 20-22...Has eight total multi-hit games for career... Connected on first career walk-off hit July 17 vs. Yankees in the 10th inning... Batted .400 (14/35) with a .933 OPS across last 35 MLB at-bats in 2023... In 99 games for Triple-A Salt Lake this season, hit .365 (139/381) with 67 runs, 20 doubles, two triples, five home runs, 62 RBI and eight stolen bases... Won the 2023 batting title for all of Minor League Baseball after hitting .365 (139/381) in 99 games for Salt Lake... 2022

Started the season with Triple-A Salt Lake where he combined to hit .320 (57-for-178) in first 46 games before having contract purchased by the Angels July 3rd...Made big league debut that night at Houston...Tallied first hit July 5 at Miami, a pinch-hit single in the 9th inning, a single off Tanner Scott...Went on to make two big league stints with the Halos...Played flawless defense in 22 games at second base...In 77 total games for Triple-A Salt Lake this season, hit .314 (90/287) with 14 doubles, three triples, four home runs, 50 runs, 37 RBI and three stolen bases...Despite big league playing time, paced the Bees in average and ranked fourth hits and sixth in runs scored...Named PCL Player of the Week for Sept. 5-11 after batting .571 (12/21) with three doubles, one triple, two HR, eight RBI, four walks and a 1.749 OPS.

2021

Began season with Double-A Rocket City and was the starting second baseman in the inaugural game in Trash Pandas history...Batted .345 (30/87) in 21 games for Rocket City before being promoted to Triple-A Salt Lake on May 29...Finished second in Triple-A West with a .334 batting average, .408 on-base percentage and 135 total hits after joining the Bees...Also ranked fifth in Triple-A West with 204 total bases and sixth with a .913 OPS...Registered a Club-best 15 game hit streak from July 10-25, batting .411 (23/56) in that span...Overall, led all Angels Minor Leaguers in batting average (.336) and hits (165), ranked second in organization in total bases (242) and runs (78), third in OBP (.408) and OPS (.901), fourth in slugging (.493) and doubles (26), fifth in walks (52), sixth in home runs (17) and extra-base hits (43) and seventh in RBI (63).
