Full name is Albert Enmanuel Abreu Dias...was teammates with current Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz with the Dominican Winter League’s Tigres del Licey during the 2022-23 season...in September 2022, provided hundreds of backpacks with school supplies to underserved youth in his hometown of El Pocito, Dominican Republic.

2024

Spent the entire 2024 campaign with the Saitama Seibu Lions of Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball Pacific League, pitching to a 2-5 record with a 2.39 ERA (49ip, 17r/13er), 28 saves and 33 strikeouts in 52 appearances...Ranked among Pacific League leaders in both saves (2nd) and appearances (T4th)...his 2.39 ERA was the seventh-lowest mark among all JPPL pitchers with at least 50 appearances...Following the season, made six starts for the Dominican Winter League’s Tigres del Licey.

Missed nearly three months over two stints on the minor league disabled list…made two rehab starts with the GCL Yankees East, allowing 1ER in 4.1IP... Pitched for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League, going 1-2 with a 2.60 ERA (27.2IP, 8ER) in six starts…was named the AFL "Pitcher of the Week" for the period from 10/16-21...
