Made the club as a non-roster invitee, posting a 1.74 ERA in 9 relief outings this spring...the 31-year-old (turns 32 on April 11), is in his 13th pro season, having pitched in the majors with the Rockies (1997-99), Mets (2000 and 2002) and Padres (2002)...began the 2003 season with Atlanta's Triple-A Richmond affiliate and ended with Triple-A Omaha in the Royals chain...combined to go 2-5 with 6 saves and a 3.39 ERA in 57 appearances (one start) between the 2 stops...was 1-0 with 5 saves and a 0.71 ERA (2 ER/25.1 IP) in his first 28 relief appearances with the Braves through June 8...was released June 30...signed with Omaha July 8, where he made 20 outings (one start).
