Threw his fourth career complete game May 14, 2011 at Tampa Bay...It was the first by an Orioles pitcher since Chris Waters blanked the Toronto Blue Jays on four hits on September 18, 2008...It was Bergesen's first complete game since September 15, 2010 against the Blue Jays...Was 2-7 with a 5.78 ERA (62.1IP, 40ER) in 12 starts for the Birds and posted a 5.59 ERA (38.2IP, 24ER) in 22 relief appearances...Pitched to a 3.24 ERA (16.2IP, 6ER) in eight August appearances...Tied his career-high by allowing eight runs on May 19 against New York...Did not allow a run in 13 of his 22 relief appearances...The O's were 3-31 in Bergesen's 34 appearances...Made three starts for Triple-A Norfolk June 3-13 and was 2-1 with a 1.64 ERA (22.0IP, 4ER)...Threw a four-hit shutout against Pawtucket June 8, striking out eight and walking one...Allowed just one hit to a left-handed batter in 31 at-bats with Norfolk (.032 average).

Lost first three starts of the season, pitching to a 12.19 ERA (10.1IP, 14ER) with a 2.61 WHIP and was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on April 20 ... Went 3-0 with a 2.33 ERA (19.1IP, 5ER) and 1.14 WHIP in first three starts after being recalled on May 1 ... Pitched to a 7.40 ERA (24.1IP, 20ER) in his next six games (four GS) and was optioned to Norfolk on June 13, returning for good June 26 ... Struck out a season-high seven twice, July 2 @BOS and July 21 vs. TB ... Tossed two complete games, the only 9.0 inning complete games of the year for the Birds (August 11 @CLE and September 15 vs. TOR) ... Has thrown the last three 9.0 inning complete games for the Orioles (also June 14, 2009 vs. ATL) ... Allowed two hits in his complete game August 11 @CLE, the fewest hits allowed by an O's starter in CLE since Tom Phoebus' two-hitter on April 19, 1970 ... Suffered a career-long seven-game losing streak, May 17-July 26 (12 starts) after having never lost more than two consecutive decisions ... Went 3-6 with a 6.40 ERA (71.2IP, 51ER) in the first half and 5-6 with a 3.94 ERA (98.1IP, 43ER) after the break ... Pitched to a 2.85 ERA (82.0IP, 26ER) in his final 12 starts, allowing three earned runs or fewer in 10 of them ... Went 3-0 with a 2.73 ERA (36.1IP, 11ER) in five August starts ... Recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on April 21 and spent the rest of the season with the O's...Won his major league debut on April 21, pitching 5.2 innings and allowing one earned run vs. CWS...Became second (following Uehara) of eventual five O's rookie pitchers to win their major league debut in 2009 (also Berken, Hernandez and Matusz), the most by a team since the Chicago White Stockings had six pitchers do it in 1888...Went 7-1 with a 2.68 ERA (74.0IP, 22ER) in 11 home starts, tying Rodrigo Lopez (2002) for most wins by a rookie at Camden Yards...Finished 2nd among AL rookies in ERA (3.43), 9th in batting average against (.265) and 10th in innings pitched (123.1)...Went 3-0 with a 2.23 ERA (36.1IP, 9ER) in five June starts...Pitched 6.0 innings or more in each of his final 12 starts of the season, pitching to a 2.46 ERA in that time (84.0IP, 23ER) to lower season ERA from 5.49 to 3.43...Had seven consecutive Quality Starts to end the season, going only 3-4 despite pitching to a 2.56 ERA (45.2IP, 13ER)...Placed on the 15-day disabled list on July 31 with a left leg contusion caused by a Billy Butler line drive vs. KC...Transferred to the 60-day DL on September 8...Pitched first career complete game on June 14 vs. ATL, scattering five hits...Struck out career-high six batters three times (July 30 vs. KC, July 1 vs. BOS and June 9 vs. SEA)...Won four straight decisions, May 29-June 26...Allowed three earned runs or fewer in 14 of his 19 starts...Allowed one HR or fewer in 17 of 19 starts...Collected first major league hit on May 24 vs. WAS, a single off Shairon Martis

Recipient of the Jim Palmer Award as O's Minor League Pitcher of the Year...Began the season with Class-A Frederick and went 1-1 with a 2.08 ERA (17.1IP, 4ER) in four games (three starts) before being transferred to Double-A Bowie on April 22... Pitched back-to-back complete game shutouts, July 23 vs. Harrisburg and July 28 vs. New Britain...Had a four-game win streak, July 18-August 2...Led the Baysox in innings pitched (148.0) and had 15 Quality Starts...Finished 6th in the Eastern League in ERA (3.22) & first in wins (15) & complete games (3)...Named to the 2008 Southern Division All-Star Team & EL post-season All-Star team.

Began the season at Delmarva and went 7-3 with a 2.19 ERA in 15 starts, striking out 73 and walking 17 before a promotion to Frederick...Was named to the South Atlantic League All-Star Team...Went 1-0 with a 3.09 ERA in 2 playoff starts for the Keys, winning his first start in Game 1 of the Division Series over Wilmington on September 5...His combined 3.52 ERA was 6th in the organization.
2006
Went 5-4 with a 4.58 ERA in 14 starts for Delmarva and posted a 1.86 ERA in 4 relief appearances...Pitched a season-high 7.0 innings and allowed one run in a complete-game victory over Lake County on July 7...Was placed on the disabled list on August 10 with mononucleosis and missed the remainder of the year.
