Posted a 1.82era in 34 relief apps at Class AAA Louisville and made 26 apps during 5 stints with the Reds (4/20-5/30, 6/30-7/5, 7/23-7/31, 8/13-8/15, 9/1-10/1)...was optioned to Louisville on 5/31, when Esteban Yan was acquired from the Angels...was optioned on 7/6, when Eddie Guardado was acquired from the Mariners...was optioned again on 8/1, after the Reds acquired Kyle Lohse from the Twins and Rheal Cormier from the Phillies...was optioned to Louisville for the fourth time on 8/16, when the Reds acquired Scott Schoeneweis from the Blue Jays...was recalled again when rosters expanded on 9/1 and spent the rest of the season in Cin...in consecutive apps on 5/12 vs Phi (1ip, 4er) and 5/16 at Pit (1ip, 2er) allowed 6 of his 13 earned runs, including a career-high 4er vs the Phillies, that raised ERA from 1.59 to a season-high 8.22...his season-ending ERA without those 2 apps drops to 4.40...stranded 15-19 inherited runners (79%), one of the best marks on the staff.

2005

Split the season between Class AAA Louisville and the Reds...began the season at Louisville and in 31g there went 1-6-1, 5.23 before he was promoted on 6/26, when Randy Keisler went on the 15-day disabled list...finished the season in Cin, where in his first stint in the Major Leagues he went 1-0, 2.43 in 37 relief apps...didn't allow an earned run in 32 of his 37 apps...National League opponents hit just .204, the lowest on the staff...opposing LH batters hit .205 and opposing RH batters hit .203...on 6/26 at Cle threw a scoreless 0.2ip in his Major League debut...struck out his first big league batter (Grady Sizemore) on 3 pitches...posted a 1.61era in his first 24 apps of the season through 9/2, then on 9/3 at Atl allowed a season-high 3 earned runs in 0.2ip to raise overall ERA to 2.74...after that 9/3 appearance posted a 1.35era in his last 12g of the season...his overall ERA without that 9/3 outing drops to 1.55...on 7/21 vs Chi threw a perfect eighth inning to earn his only Major League victory (9-6 win)...retired his first batter 28-37 times and has stranded 13-16 inherited baserunners.

2004

In his first full season at Class AAA led the International League in apps (59)...became the eighth Louisville pitcher to lead the IL or tie for the league lead in games pitched...IL opponents hit .200, including just .173 by LH batters...following the season played for Caguas in the Puerto Rican Winter League (10g, 2-1-1, 2.20, 16.1ip, 13h, 9bb, 13k).

2003

his first full season as a pitcher combined to go 4-3, 3.43 with 2 saves in 1 start and 42 relief apps at 3 minor league stops...was his first season in the orgnanization...was acquired during spring training...made his only professional start in an 8-2 victory on 8/4 vs West Tenn (5ip, 3h, 1r, 1er, 2bb, 5k, 1hr)...pitched for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League (11g, 1-0, 4.66, 9.2ip, 10h, 6bb, 7k).

2002

At Class AA Wichita hit .217 as a first baseman, outfielder and DH before he was converted to a pitcher...had just 1 plate appearance after 6/30... following the season pitched for Scottsdale in the AFL.

2001

On 7/22 at El Paso made his first pro appearance as a pitcher (1ip, 3h, 2r, 2er, 1bb).

1998

At Class A Spokane ranked among the Northwest League leaders in doubles (3rd, 21), RBI (4th) and extra-base hits (5th, 32).
