Spent his fi-st full season with Class A Kannapolis, going 13-5 with a 3.08 ERA (54 ER/157.2 IP) and 117 strikeouts in 27 starts...led the South Atlantic league in wins and IP...also was the team leader in numerous categories, including era, wins, starts, IP and complete games...was 9-1 with a 2.91 ERA (28 ER/86.2 IP) in his final 15 starts...went 9-0 with a 3.07 ERA (29 ER/85.0 IP) over 15 starts from 6/6-8/26...compiled a 7-2 record with a 3.02 era (31 ER/92.1 IP) in 16 home starts...struck out a season-high nine batters on 5/15 vs. Lakewood (ND, 0 ER/7.2 IP)...the 7.2 IP were a season high...tossed his first career complete game (0 ER/7.0 IP) on 7/2 at Hagerstown, allowing just five hits ... matched a season low with one hit allowed on 7/7 vs. Delmarva (also 5/15 vs. Lakewood) ... worked 7.0 IP in back-to-back starts on 8/9 vs. Greensboro (w, 0 er) and 8/15 at Asheville (W, 1 Er).
