Dennis Sean Houlton Jr....attended the University of the Pacific... originally selected in the 55th round of the June 1997 First-Year Player Draft by Seattle, but did not sign... graduated from Servite High School in Anaheim, CA...participated in the annual Dodger Caravan in Feb. 2006...took part in the annual Dodger holiday party in Dec. 2005...signed by Astros' scout Gene Wellman.
2007
The 2005 Rule 5 draftee returned to the Major Leagues for the first time in more than a year, going 0-2 with a 4.18 ERA in three different stints with the Dodgers...appeared in 18 games, all out of the bullpen for Los Angeles
Recalled from Triple-ALas Vegas on June 30 when Hong-Chih Kuo was placed on the 15-day disabled list...optioned back to Triple-A on July 8...recalled for a second time on July 15...sent back down on Aug. 10 and recalled on Sept. 1 when rosters expanded
