Danny and his wife, Jennifer, make their offseason home in Port St. Lucie, Fla...graduated from John Carroll High School in Florida in 1993 and played in the 1993 Florida High School All-Star Game...lettered in baseball in all four of his high school seasons...named Third-Team All-State following his junior year and Second-Team All-America and First-Team All-State following his senior campaign...turned down a scholarship to Florida State University instead choosing to sign with Milwaukee.

2005

Signed with the Cubs in January and went to Spring Training as a non-roster invitee...traded to the Astros on April 3...spent the season at Triple A Round Rock where he led the Express with a .319 average and collected 15 home runs and 53 RBI...named to the All-Pacific Coast League team...earned Round Rock's offensive and defensive player of the month honors for June...drove in six runs, including four on a third-inning grand slam, on June 25 vs. Albuquerque.

2004

Spent the season at shortstop for Triple A Toledo in the Detroit organization...missed three weeks in August when he played for Canada at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens...finished a home run short of the cycle on July 23 at Scranton, going 4x5 with two singles, a double and triple...homered in both games of a doubleheader on May 22 vs. Scranton, and ended the day going 5x9 with two doubles, two homers and four RBI.

2003

Played the majority of the season at Triple A Toledo before having his contract purchased by Detroit on Aug. 14...finished second on the Toledo club in runs scored (63), third in gales played (112), at-bats (407), hits (100), triples (4), home runs (11) and RBI (48) and fourth in doubles (19)...hit safely in each of his first six games of the season April 3-10, batting .364 (8x22) with six RBI...collected a season-high three hits April 18 versus Richmond...matched the high on four occasions: May 1 at Ottawa, June 10 at Pawtucket, July 7 versus Syracuse and August 10 versus Charlotte...strung together a season-best 10-game hitting streak April 27-May 7...batted .389 (14x36) over the course of the streak, scoring nine runs and collecting four doubles and six RBI...ripped a grand slam at Durham on May 20...hit safely in six-of-seven games June 8-14, collecting five multi-hit games during the stretch - batted .387 (12x31) with seven runs scored, two doubles, three home runs and eight RBI...fell a triple shy of hitting for the cycle against Syracuse on July 7, finishing 3x5 with a double, home run and season-high six RBI...made his Tigers debut as a defensive replacement at shortstop on Aug. 15 at Anaheim...equaled his career high three hits Aug. 22 versus Anaheim...also matched the high with three hits at Cleveland on Aug. 28...homered on Aug. 27 at Cleveland, his first home run at the Major League level since June 26, 2000 versus Houston as a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks...posted a six-game hitting streak for the Tigers Aug. 29-Sept. 3, falling one game shy of matching his career best...hit .280 (7x25) over the course of the six-game hitting streak...missed five games Sept. 4-9 due to a left groin before returning to the lineup on Sept. 10 New York...reaggravated the injury during the game at New York and was limited to three appearances as a pinch-hitter over Detroit's final 18 games of the season.

Earned a spot on Arizona's Opening Day roster in 2002 but was forced to the Disabled List with an inflamed toe on his right foot on April 9 after appearing in three games...began a rehab assignment with Double A El Paso on April 12, 2002...managed just a .231 batting average in 18 games before being activated from the DL by Arizona on May 3...collected a single as a pinch-hitter for the Diamondbacks May 4 against Montreal...outrighted to Triple A Tucson by Arizona on May 5...started slowly in Pacific Coast League action, batting just .160 (13x81) in 24 games during May...collected a season-high four RBI against Portland on May 22...finished 3x3 with three RBI on June 16, establishing a season high in hits versus Salt Lake...hit safely in 11-of-12 games Aug. 16-27, batting .404 (19x47) with five doubles, a triple and seven RBI...equaled his season high with three hits Aug. 18 at Oklahoma...batted .283 (30x106) with nine doubles, three triples, and 16 RBI in 28 games during August...fared better against lefties in the Pacific Coast League, hitting .268 (22x82)...batted .219 (61x279) with righthanders on the mound for Tucson.

2001

Spent the entire 2001 season on the Diamondbacks DL with a stress fracture of the second metatarsal in his right foot...required surgery to place a pin in the injured area of the foot...hit .222 (4x18) in seven games during a rehab assignment with Tucson.

2000

Saw action with Arizona in 2000 before a toe injury limited his playing time in the second-half of the season...in nine games during April, he batted .333 (7x21) with three RBI...optioned to Tucson on May 23...returned to Arizona for a brief stint in which he failed to appear in a game after being recalled on June 5 and ultimately optioned back to Tucson on June 8...recalled from Tucson by the Diamondbacks for a second time on June 25...hit safely on five-of-seven games June 26-July 3, batting .250 (6x24) with a double, home run and three RBI...sprained his right big toe while rounding second base on July 7 at Oakland...placed on the DL retroactive to July 8 by Arizona on July 13...activated from the disabled list on Sept. 1...saw action in 28 games during his two stints with Tucson...hit safely in six-of-seven games May 24-30, batting .481 (13x27) with three doubles, a triple and four RBI...batted .450 (18x40) with 11 runs scored, four doubles, a triple, two home runs and 10 RBI over an 11-game stretch June 12-23...drove in five runs in the first game of a doubleheader June 20 against Las Vegas.

1999

Suffered through an injury plagued season and spent most of the campaign at Triple A Tucson...appeared in just one game for the Diamondbacks, collecting a single as a pinch-hitter Sept. 9 at Milwaukee...recorded an eight-game hitting streak with Tucson from April 25-May 2, batting .379 (11x29) with a home run and six RBI...ripped two home runs and drove in five runs at Omaha on May 15...posted a season-high 12-game hitting streak May 30-June 10...hit .354 (17x48) with 13 runs scored, six doubles, a triple, home run and six RBI over the course of the streak...landed on the disabled list on June 11 with a right knee contusion...did not return to action with Tucson until Aug. 26, but he did see action in six games during two separate stints with the Arizona League Diamondbacks while on the DL.

1998

Recalled from Tucson by Arizona on July 4...made his Major League debut that evening at Houston...collected a career-high three hits July 10 against Cincinnati...included in his three hits were his first big league hit (a single off Brett Tomko) and his first Major League home run (a two-run shot against Danny Graves)...posted a career-best seven-game hitting streak July 12-19, hitting .345 (10x29) with a double, two home runs and four RBI...a 4x44 slump (.091) over a 12-game stretch July 26-Aug. 8 led to him being optioned back to Tucson for the remainder of the season on Aug. 9...finished 10th among all Diamondbacks minor leaguers with a .292 batting average at Tucson...second on his club with 25 doubles...a left shoulder fracture ended his season prematurely and forced him to the DL on August 13...named the sixth-best prospect in the Diamondbacks organization following the season byBaseball America.

1997

Turned in a career season for El Paso in the Milwaukee Brewers organization in 1997, earning Texas League All-Star honors...named the Texas League Star of Stars by Howe Sportsdata...led the league with 112 runs scored, while finishing second with 135 games played, 519 at bats and 172 hits...finished fourth in the league with a .331 batting average and fifth with 256 total bases...led all Diamondbacks from Milwaukee in the Expansion Draft on Nov. 18.

1996

Played the entire season with Single A Stockton in 1996...led all California League shortstops with 33 errors...missed action April 11-22 while on the disabled list with strained ligaments in his left thumb...named the ninth-best prospect in the Brewers organization following the season by Baseball America.

1995

Limited to 59 games for Single A Beloit during the 1995 season due to ACL reconstruction in his left knee...named the sixth-best prospect in the Brewers organization following the season by Baseball America.

1994

Swiped a career-high 28 bases in his first full-season of professional baseball with Beloit in 1994...named the third-best prospect in the Brewers organization following the season by Baseball America.

1993

Saw the fist action of his professional career with Rookie Level Helena and the Arizona League Brewers after signing as Milwaukee's second-round selection of the 1993 draft.
