Was plagued by a series of injuries in 2007 and appeared in just 10 games with Double-A Tulsa...did however make his Major League debut for the Rockies, appearing in two games for the club in mid-May...was recalled from Double-A on May 18, taking the roster spot of injured RHP Zach McClellan...made ML debut that night, retiring just one batter faced (KC's Esteban German)...allowed two hits and one walk over 1.0 inning pitched on May 20 vs. Kansas City before being optioned back to Tulsa on May 22...prior to his recall to the majors, Clarke had opened the season on the minor league disabled list after straining his left groin on March 12 vs. Arizona while in big league camp for the Rockies...was activated on May 1 and appeared in five games for the Drillers, allowing just one hit over 6.1 innings before his call to the big leagues...overall for Tulsa, Clarke went 1-1 with a 1.64 ERA (11.0 ip, 2 er) in 10 games/one start...he was sidelined from June 6-Aug. 16 with right shoulder inflammation and was transferred to the 60-day disabled list on Aug. 16.
2006
After compiling dominant numbers for Modesto over the first two months of the season, Clarke was sidelined by a pair of DL stints and would make just three appearances after June 1...went 1-1, 1.35 (26.2 ip, 4 er) with five saves in 25 relief appearances for Modesto...recorded 37 strikeouts against just seven walks, as opponents hit just .140 (13-for-93)...held right-handers to just an .083 (4-for-48) average...permitted multiple hits just once all season, June 17 vs. Lake Elsinore in return from first DL stint...allowed just one home run, April 19 at Lancaster to D-backs' prospect Brandon Burgess...finished game in 16 of his 25 outings, and had at least one strikeout in 22 games...was on disabled list from June 5-15 with inflammation in right shoulder...placed on DL again June 27 for remainder of season with strained right lat muscle...longest outing was 2.2 innings April 23 at Rancho Cucamonga, when he suffered his only loss, posting season-high five K's in that contest...was selected a Cal League All-Star, but was unable to pitch in the June 27 Cal/Carolina League game in Salem, Virginia...struck out all three batters faced May 13 vs. Bakersfield.
2004
Pitched in only eight games due to recurring elbow injuries...was on DL twice with right elbow troubles...did not pitch for over two months from May-July, then returned to make three appearances/two starts in July...final outing was July 25 at Lakeland...opponents hit .342 (54-for-158)...underwent season-ending "Tommy John" surgery on his right elbow Aug. 31, 2004.
2003
Pitched in a full-season league for first time in his career, going 8-6, 3.83 (157.1 ip, 67 er) in 27 games/25 starts for Asheville in the South Atlantic League...established career highs in most categories, including wins, games, starts, innings, and strikeouts...opened season with two relief outings, then finished with 25 starts...ranked second in the SAL in innings and allowed league-leading 22 home runs...posted career-high 12 strikeouts in 6.0 innings during a 19-inning, Fourth of July marathon vs. Capital City...recorded his only career complete game, a five-hit, 7-1 victory May 30 at Augusta...allowed just one unearned run in 8.0 innings on July 26 vs. Savannah...half of his home runs allowed for the year came in the final month of August.
2002
Went 4-3, 6.98 (40.0 ip, 31 er) in 12 games/nine starts for Tri-City...allowed five or more runs in three of his final four starts for Dust Devils, then finished the year with three relief appearances...was 3-0, 2.38 (22.2 ip, 6 er) at home, 1-3, 12.98 (17.1 ip, 25 er) on the road.
2001
Spent his first professional season with Casper, compiling 3-6 record with 6.02 ERA (55.1 ip, 37 er) in 14 games/starts...did not allow a home run final seven starts and 26.2 innings...posted season-high 7 K's, July 23 vs. Ogden.
2005
Split the season between Tri-City and Modesto...combined to go 0-0, 3.15 ERA (20.0 ip, 7 er) with three saves in 17 games...started the season with Modesto, but was placed on the DL on April 7 due to a right elbow strain...made a rehab assignment at Tri-City, going 0-0 with a 0.64 ERA (14.0 ip, 1 er) and three saves in 12 games...returned from rehab assignment and reported to Modesto on July 20, going 0-0, 9.00 (6.0 ip, 6 er) in five contests...landed on DL on August 30 with right elbow inflammation that ended his season.
