Posted several long scoreless streaks during his time with the Astros in 2011, including a 13-game run (12.2IP) from April 28-June 1, 10 games (9IP) from June 28-July 24 and a seven-game streak (5IP) from Sept. 9-26 ... Is 27-24 with a 2.77 ERA (140ER/455.2IP) in 177 career minor league games, including 49 starts, over parts of seven seasons ... In 2009, was a Florida State League All-Star...went 3-1 with 12 saves and a 1.68 combined ERA between three different minor league levels in 2009 ... 2011

Recorded 1.000 full year of Major League service time, missing only one month of the season while on the Disabled List... finished third on the club in relief appearances and innings pitched behind Melancon and Lopez...on the Disabled List from Aug. 6-Sept. 2 with a right shoulder strain...made four rehab appearances, posting a 2.25 ERA (1ER/4IP)...had several long scoreless streaks this season, including a 13-game run (12.2IP) from April 28-June 1, 10 games (9IP) from June 28-July 24 and seven games (5IP) from Sept. 9-26...his streak of 13.2 innings was the longest by an Astros reliever this season...tossed a career-high 2.1 innings on June 21 at TEX but received the loss in the 11th frame...after June 28, did not allow a run in 19 of his last 23 outings to finish the season (3.38 ERA, 7ER/18.2IP)...made the club out of Spring Training after not allowing an earned run in his club-high 12 appearances (14.1IP)... returned to pitch for his third consecutive season with Cibao in the Dominican Winter League...posted a 1-1 record and a 0.93 ERA (1ER/9.2IP) in 13 appearances.

2010

Made 11 MLB relief outings for the Reds and Astros...posted a 1-1 record and a 4.50 ERA (5ER/10IP) between the two clubs...made two appearances as an Astro, on Sept. 18 vs. CIN (3ER/1IP) and Sept. 23 at WSH (0ER/0.1IP)...was designated for assignment by CIN on Sept. 13...was acquired by Houston on Sept. 16 from CIN in exchange for cash considerations...had appeared in nine games over two stints for CIN from May 24-June 15, allowing two earned runs in 8.2 innings in those outings (2.08 ERA)...made his Major League debut on May 24 vs. PIT and struck out the only batter faced in 0.0 inning...the batter reached on a passed ball by the catcher...spent the majority of 2010 with Triple A Louisville, going 4-4 with four saves and a 3.09 ERA (22ER/64IP) in 50 relief appearances.

2009

In 50 relief apps at Class A Sarasota (4/7-7/19), Class AA Carolina (7/20-7/30) and Class AAA Louisville (7/30-remainder of the season) combined to finish 3-1, 1.68 with 12 saves (80.1 IP, 66 H, 12 BB, 54 K)...opponents hit just .221...among all Reds minor league pitchers ranked T2nd in saves...was a Florida State League All-Star...in his first career apps at AAA, held Louisville opponents scoreless in 10 of his 15 apps...following the season played for Cibao in the Dominican Winter League (20 G, 3-2-2, 1.99, 22.2 IP, 18 H, 3 BB, 11 K, 0 HR) and posted a 0.79era in 11 post-season apps (11.1 IP, 1 ER)...on 11/20 was added to the 40-man roster.

2008

Went 6-6 with five saves and a 3.07 ERA in 32 outings, including 15 starts, with Class A Dayton and Class A Sarasota...ranked third among all Reds farmhands in ERA...in his nine starts at Dayton, went 4-1 with a 1.18 ERA...was named Reds Minor League Pitcher of the Month for August (3-0, 1.59 ERA, 6g/4gs)...in his final outing of the season, pitched a 9.0-inning complete-game shutout at Lansing (5h, 10k) to cap off a 19-inning scoreless innings streak as a Dragon

2007

While with Rookie Billings, went 1-2 with a 5.11 ERA in eight starts in June and July, and 3-2 with a 2.70 ERA in seven starts in August and September...was named Pioneer League Pitcher of the Week for July 30-Aug. 5 (0ER/6IP, 3h)

2006

Went 5-5 with a 1.78 ERA in 13 starts for the Rookie DSL Reds, holding opponents to a .200 average

2005

In his first professional season, went 4-4 with a 3.12 ERA in six starts and seven relief appearances for the Rookie DSL Reds.
