2023

Signed a minor league deal with Washington after 10 years in the Detroit farm system and spent the entire season at Triple-A Rochester…went 7-5 with 10 saves, a 3.14 ERA and .616 opponents OPS in a career-high 59 relief appearances...Also had career highs in wins, innings pitched (71.2), runs allowed (29) and walks (50) and matched his high in losses, hits (43) and hit batters (7)…his ERA was his lowest since 2015 (2.89)...Struck out 91 batters in 71.2 innings (11.43 per nine innings) but also walked 50 (6.28 per nine innings)...Tied for the International League lead in games pitched and tied for fifth in saves...Led the Nationals farm system in games pitched, tied for second in saves, tied for fifth in wins and tied for ninth in strikeouts...Held the opposition to a .179 batting average, which broke down to .141 (14-for-49) with a .602 OPS against left-handed hitters compared to .206 (29-for-141) with a .620 OPS against right-handers…yielded four of his five home runs to righties but issued 34 of his 50 walks to lefties...Allowed a .180 batting average and four of his five home runs with the bases empty, a .178 average with runners on...Converted 10-of-17 (58.8%) save opportunities…also had 10 holds and was the only minor league pitcher to reach double figures in saves and holds...Allowed 5-of-20 (25.0%) inherited runners to score and first batters faced were 9-for-43 (.209) with 11 walks, three hit batters, a sacrifice hit and sacrifice fly (.397 on-base percentage)...Opponents hit .123 with two strikes...Had a 5.02 ERA in the ninth inning, a 1.88 ERA in all other innings...Tossed at least one inning in 53 of his 59 appearances, including a season-high 2.0 innings 12 times...Pitched for Estrellas in the Dominican Winter League following the season for the fourth consecutive year and was 2-2 with two saves and a 3.18 ERA in 18 relief appearances.

2022

Was invited to Detroit’s Major League spring training for the third consecutive season… set career marks in opponents batting average (.171), WHIP (1.16) and strikeouts (96)…recorded a 2.42 ERA with 39 strikeouts and six saves in 22 games during July and August, posting scoreless appearances in 18 of those 22 outings…struck out all six batters he faced in a pair of scoreless frames on April 13 at Somerset, tying his career high for strikeouts in an outing…logged a 2.48 ERA at home compared to a 4.18 ERA on the road. 

2021

Promoted to Toledo on June 15, pitching in two games in his Triple-A debut before returning to Double-A Erie…did not allow a homer over his final 14 outings from Aug. 1 on, recording 14.3 strikeouts per 9.0 innings pitched in that stretch…turned in his best month of the year in August, going 1-1 with a 2.61 ERA in nine games while posting a .114 opponents batting average.

2020

Worked out remotely during the 2020 season as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

2019

Spent the entire 2019 season on the injured list while recovering from right elbow surgery...Pitched in seven games, including six as a starter, as part of a rehab assignment with the GCL Tigers East.

2018

Limited to 14 appearances with Double-A Erie after undergoing right elbow surgery… was sidelined from June 2-Sept. 1…was rated as the No. 18 prospect in the Tigers organization by Baseball America. 

2017

Named to the Florida State League Midseason All-Star Team…tied for ninth in the FSL with eight saves…did not allow an earned run over his final 15 appearances with Lakeland from April 27-June 11, a stretch that spanned 16.2 innings…was sidelined from Aug. 14-24 with a right triceps strain…was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League’s Rising Stars Game.
