Made three starts with the Marlins in his first Major League season and was 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA (6 ER in 10.0 IP) and 11 strikeouts....Began the season at Miami’s Alternate Training Site...Had his contract selected on Aug. 7 and made his debut that day @ Mets (ND; 1 ER in 2.1 IP, 6 SO)…struck out his first two batters faced (Brandon Nimmo and Jeff McNeil) and three of his first four (also: Michael Conforto)...Acquired from the Marlins on Aug. 31, with LHP Caleb Smith and a player to be named (LHP Julio Frias) for OF Starling Marte...Was assigned to the D-backs’ Alternate Training Site.
