Began the season at Class A Greenville in the Boston Red Sox organization and was 2-0 with 10 saves and a 2.77 ERA in 27 appearances when he was dealt to the Chicago White Sox organization July 30 as part of the Jake Peavy trade…went 0-1 with two saves and a 9.64 ERA in three games with Class A Kannapolis and 0-1 with a 4.82 ERA in six games with Single-A Winston-Salem…combined for a 2-2 record, 12 saves and a 3.42 ERA in 36 appearances overall, all in relief…allowed a .257 opponents batting average, including .244 against left-handed hitters compared to .266 with all five of his home runs against right-handers…all five of his home runs were solo shots…converted 12-of-13 (92.3%) save opportunities, including all 11 at Greenville…allowed 7-of-9 (77.8%) inherited runners to score, including all six at Greenville…tossed at least one inning in 34 of his 36 appearances, including 3.0 or more 13 times…struck out a season-high seven batters in 4.0 innings, May 24 at Charleston… recorded seven of his 10 saves over a 10-game stretch from May 24 to July 9 (1.35 ERA)…had a 1.80 ERA in six games in June and a 1.80 ERA in seven games in July…was assigned to Kannapolis following the July 30 trade and stuck out a season-high tying seven batters in 3.0 innings in his second outing Aug. 5 at Greenville…was promoted to Winston-Salem Aug. 11 and struck out 16 batters in 9.1 innings in six appearances with the Dash.
