Single...Graduated from Frank W. Cox HS in Virginia Beach, VA, in 1997...Attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where he was a two-time, first-team all-Colonial Athletic Association selection...In 2000, he was named to Louisville Slugger's first-team all-America squad and *Baseball America's* second-team all-America squad after winning the conference's triple crown, batting .435 with 19 homers and74 RBI...Was selected in the 14th round of the 2000 First Year Player Draft.
2006
Ranked 4th in the International League in RBI (87) and tied for 4th in the league in home runs (22) while leading AAA Buffalo in both categories...Also finished 5th in the IL with 131 strikeouts...His 87 RBI ranked 11th among all AAA players and his 131 strikeouts ranked 8th in AAA...Spent the season at Buffalo after going to spring training with Cleveland...Split time between left field, right field and DH...Batted .338 (27-80) in 21 games in April...Was among IL leaders in average, homers (5) and RBI (15)...Hit just .216 (48-222) over the next 2 1/2 months, including just .187 in May...Average dipped to .248 on July 17, lowest mark of the season after going hitless on Opening Day...Had 4 straight multi-hit games starting July 19 and finished with a .310 mark (27-87) for the month of July, with season monthly-bests of 7 homers and 22 RBI...Beginning July 19, batted .320 (77-240) the remainder of the season...Had 2 homers in a game three times, all within a two-week stretch...Homered twice on July 22 vs. Syracuse, July 30 at Pawtucket and August 5 vs. Norfolk...Was called up but not to report by Cleveland on September 21...Was outrighted to Buffalo on October. 11 but refused the assignment and became a free agent.

Selected by Cubs in 14th round of draft (scout: Billy Swoope)...On disabled list 6/26-9/15 (fractured left foot).
2005
Dubois started the 2005 season with the Chicago Cubs and appeared in 52 games with the Cubs before being optioned to AAA Iowa on July 8...He compiled a slugging percentage of .472 with Chicago and appeared in 38 games in left field (35GS)...The 26-year old Virginia Beach native hit .346 (9-26) in April and .254 (15-59) with runners on base during his tenure with the Cubs...After his option to Iowa on July 8 he hit .500 (9-18) with a HR & 6RBI in 4 games prior to being acquired by the Indians on July 18 for OF Jody Gerut...Started at DH in place of the injured Travis Hafner for six games, July 19-25, and followed that up with 3 starts in left field, July 28-30, after the acquisition... Hit his first AL homer off Gil Meche on July 23 vs. Seattle...Was optioned to AAA Buffalo on August 4 when Hafner was activated after going 8 for 33 (.242) w/2HR & 2RBI in his first 10 games for Cleveland...Spent 10 days in Buffalo, August 5-14, before being recalled again on August 14...With Buffalo during his first stint there he hit .217 (5-23) with 3HR & 7RBI in 6 games (HR'd in last 2 games)...Was 2 for 12 in 4 starts in RF in place of Casey Blake before being optioned back to Buffalo on August 20...Spent another 12 days in Buffalo where he was 10 for 30 in his last stint w/a HR & 3RBI (hit in last 4 games)...Overall with Cleveland he started 7 games at DH, 4 games in RF and 3 games in LF...Combined on the year he was 2 for 12 w/a HR & 2RBI as a PH and hit .472 (17-36) w/4HR & 9RBI on the first pitch...Hit first career pinch-hit HR on April 30 off Houston's Brandon Backe...Owns 95 career minor league homers.
2004
Jason had two stints with the Cubs (May 19-June 18 and September 9 through the end of the season), going 5-for-23 with 1 homer and 5 RBI in 23 games...made his major league debut May 19, hitting a game-tying sacrifice fly off San Francisco's Scott Eyre in his first big league plate appearance...the Cubs went on to win 4-3...recorded his first big league hit May 26 at Houston (single off Ricky Stone)...started the final game of the season (October 3 vs. Atlanta), going 2-for-4 with a triple, a homer, 2 runs scored and 4 RBI...the 2-run homer off Paul Byrd was the first of his career...spent the majority of the season at Iowa (AAA), where he hit .316 in 109 games...had 36 doubles, 31 homers and 99 RBI ranked 17th among all minor leaguers in homers and 31st in RBI...had seven multi-homer games, including a 3-homer affair April 30 at Albuquerque when he went 3-for-5 with 7 RBI...had 37 multi-hit games and 25 multi-RBI games...of his multi-RBI affairs, one was a 7-RBI game, one was a 6-RBI game, and five were 4-RBI games...was named Iowa's newcomer of the year...after the season, he was named by
Baseball America
as the 10-best prospect in the Cubs organization.
2003
Jason was a Southern League midseason all-star at West Tenn (AA) after rejoining the Cubs' organization in mid-March ...Had been selected by Toronto the previous December in the major league Rule 5 draft...Batted .269 with 31 doubles, 15 homers and 73 RBI ...His homer and RBI totals led the team, while his 50 extra-base hits ranked 4th in the league...Had the second 3-homer game of his career 4/21 vs. Chattanooga, hitting solo homers in all 3 of his at-bats...After the season, he played for the Mesa Solar Sox in the Arizona Fall League - and was named the league's MVP after batting .358 with 9HR and 29 RBI.
2002
Batted .321 at Daytona (A), earning Florida State League midseason all-star honors ...Led the league in slugging percentage (.562) and was 2nd in on-base percentage (.422)...Hit a club-high 20 homers despite missing more than a month of the season with a fractured left wrist.0

Played in 118 games for Lansing (A), hitting .296 with 24 homers and 92 RBI ...Had 5 multi-homer games... Was 2nd in the Midwest League in both total bases (249) and extra-base hits (61) and finished 3rd in homers...On 8/30 at Michigan, he went 5-for-5 with 3 homers and 7 RBI.
