Jeffrey Scot Baisley was originally signed by A's scout Steve Barningham...selected in the 12th round of the 2005 First- Year Player Draft...graduated from Land O' Lakes HS (FL) in 2001...attended the University of South Florida...hit .356 with eight home runs and 71 RBI as a senior at USF while setting a school record with 26 doubles in 2005...was a second-team All-Conference USA selection in 2005...finished his four-year career with the Bulls with a .342 batting average.

2011

Was a Pacific Coast League Triple-A All-Star in 2011 and participated in the All-Star Game Home Run Derby ... Went 0-for-2 with a strikeout in July 13 game in Salt Lake City ... Batted .303 with 20 home runs and 100 RBI ... Was hitting .321 with a team-high 102 hits, 17 doubles and 64 RBI at Triple-A All-Star Break and also led Salt Lake with 17 home runs ... Tied for seventh in Triple-A in total bases (260) and RBI (100).

2010

Named a Double-A Texas League Midseason All-Star.

2008

Spent the entire regular season and the first round of the playoffs with Triple-A Sacramento before he was promoted to Oakland on September 9...hit .256 with no home runs and five RBI in 14 games with the A's...started 14 of the A's 18 games following his promotion, including 10 at third base and four at first base...made his Major League debut on September 9 at Detroit and went 0 for 2 with a walk in a start at third base...his first three starts came at third base but his next four from September 12 to 20 came at first base...those were his first appearances at first base in his professional career...snapped a career opening 0 for 12 streak with a third inning single off Joe Saunders on September 18 against Los Angeles for his first ML hit...added another single in the seventh inning for his first multiple hit game...went 11 for 31 (.355) over his final 10 games...all five of his RBI came against Seattle, including four in one game on September 20...went 8 for 27 (.296) against right-handed pitching and 3 for 16 (.188) against left-handers with the A's.

2007

Selected to play in the 2007 Arizona Fall League Rising Stars Game.

2006

Named Midwest League Player of the Year, Oakland's Organizational Player of the Year and was a Baseball America Low Class-A All-Star while playing for Single-A Kane County in 2006...was also named to the ML postseason All-Star team after leading the league and ranking second in all of minor league baseball with 110 RBI...also led the Midwest League in total bases (242) and sacrifice flies (10), tied for the league lead in runs (86), was second in home runs (22) and extra base hits (58), third in doubles (35) and slugging (.519) and eighth in batting (.298)...led the A's farm system in RBI, ranked second in home runs and was fifth in batting...earned back-to-back Midwest League Player of the Week honors from May 22-28 and May 29-June 4.

2005

Made his professional debut at Single-A Vancouver in 2005 and led the Canadians in games (61), RBI (38), walks (27) and hit by pitches (12) while tying for the team lead in home runs (six)....originally selected by Oakland in the 12th round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft.
