Jeffrey Joseph Fulchino...played college ball at the University of Connecticut...as a freshman in 1999, posted a 3.92 ERA...did not play baseball in 2000, but returned in 2001 and was drafted by FLA after posting a team-best 57 strikeouts in 71.2 innings as a 3rd-year sophomore...wife, Carrie, played lacrosse for the Huskies...played in the New England Collegiate Baseball League for the Keene Swamp Bats in the summer of 2000.
2011
Combined to finish 1-4 with 4 holds and a 5.71 ERA in 39 appearances with the Astros (36 games) and Padres (3)...was claimed off waivers by SDP on Sept. 1...walk rate (5.7 per 9.0 innings) was highest of career.
2010
Underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow on Oct. 4... Dr. Tom Mehlhoff removed inflamed tissue and a bone spur from his elbow... appeared in 50 games for Houston as a reliever, going 2-1 with a 5.51 ERA (29ER/47.1IP)... posted a 1.80 ERA (2ER/10IP) over his final 14 appearances of the season and held opponents to a .167 (6x36) batting average in that span... after coming off the 15-day Disabled List on July 31, was 2-1 with a 3.44 ERA (7ER/18.1IP) in his final 21 games... did not allow a run in 17 of those 21 outings... did not allow a run in 10 consecutive outings (7.1IP) from Aug. 24-Sept. 20... was on the DL from June 29-July 31 with right elbow tendinitis... made four rehab appearances at Triple A, tossing 4.0 scoreless innings... entered the season with a two-game win streak dating to Aug. 16, 2009... won his next two decisions, for a career-long, four-game win streak from Aug. 16, 2009-Sept. 17, 2010... posted a 4.70 ERA (12ER/23IP) in 25 games at home during the season and did not allow a run in 21 of those 25 games or in his last nine consecutive outings at home (7.2IP)... in his 25 starts on the road, had a 6.29 ERA (17ER/24.1IP)... allowed a career-high five runs in 1.1 innings on May 31 vs. WSH... struck out a seasonhigh four batters in 2.0 innings on May 2 at ATL... pitched 2.0 innings in five of his outings during the season.

Posted a 6-4 record and a 3.40 ERA (31ER/82IP) in 61 relief appearances en route to being named the Astros Rookie of the Year by the Houston Chapter of the BBWAA...led all Astros relievers in wins (six), innings pitched (82.0) and strikeouts (71)... ranked tied for second in the NL in relief wins and ranked third in innings pitched...became the first Astros rookie reliever to pitch at least 82.0 innings since Brad Lidge tossed 85.0 in 2003...among all Major League rookie relief pitchers, finished the season tied for second in wins, second in innings pitched and third in strikeouts...accumulated a full year of Major League service time, as he was with the club for 152 of their 162 games...began the season with Triple A Round Rock, making one start before his first recall on April 12; optioned back on April 26...recalled on April 28 and optioned back on May 10...recalled for the final time on May 14 and spent the remainder of the season with Houston...collected his first Major League hit (LHP Sean Marshall), a double, and got the win on July 28 at CHC...LHP Wesley Wright also notched his first MLB hit that game, marking the first time in franchise history that two pitchers recorded that milestone in the same game...went a career-long 5.0 innings in relief on July 3 at SF...picked up his first Major League win on June 7 vs. PIT...tossed 14.1 consecutive scoreless innings over nine appearances from May 23-June 14...after being recalled for the final time on May 14, posted a 3.03 ERA (24ER/71.1IP) in 53 appearances to finish the season...was the first Astros call-up of the season, as he replaced an injured Doug Brocail on April 12...his recall came after a strong Spring Training in which he went 0-1 with a 1.88 ERA (3ER/14.1IP) in nine appearances, including one start.
2008
Was signed as a minor league free agent on Feb. 7...began the season at Double A Northwest Arkansas and made two appearances there before being transferred to Omaha...has his contract selected from Omaha on June 8 and made his Royals debut later that night, tossing a scoreless inning at the Yankee Stadium...made five relief appearances for the Royals before being optioned to Omaha on June 23...recalled on Aug. 15 for the remainder of the season...suffered his first Major League loss on Aug. 16 at NYY.
2007
Went 6-2 with a 5.83 ERA in 16 starts for Albuquerque...began the season with a three-game winning streak, extending his victory string to five games including wins in his last two starts of 2006...was scratched from his start on June 30 after experiencing pain in his right shoulder while warming up in the bullpen before the game...was placed on the disabled list on July 2, where he remained the rest of the season with a right shoulder strain.
2006
Made his Major League debut in 2006, making one relief appearance for the Marlins... had his contract purchased by Florida on June 21 and made his big league debut the next night at BAL...was optioned to Albuquerque on June 26...logged a team-leading 109 strikeouts for Albuquerque (AAA)...on Aug. 26 at Round Rock, he pitched a season-high 8.0 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out a season-best and team-high-tying 10 batters...in that same game, he drilled a two-run double and a grand slam, giving him a team high-tying six RBI, the most ever by an Isotopes pitcher in a game.

Registered career highs in wins (11) and innings (153.0) in 29 starts with Albuquerque in first Triple-A exposure.
2003
Combined to go 3-6 with a 4.03 ERA pitching for both Greensboro of the Single-A South Atlantic League and Jupiter.
2004
Began season with Single-A Jupiter (Florida State League), but advanced to Double-A for the first time, going 6-5 with a 4.47 ERA in 17 starts with Carolina of the Southern League...struck out 8.3 per 9.0 Southern League innings.
2002
Recorded a 3.87 ERA in 24 games/22 starts and fanned 94 in 132.2 innings (6.4 per 9.0 innings) with Single-A Kane County of the Midwest League.
