Split the season between Seattle and AAA Tacoma and was on the disabled list for two months from May 3-July...Was a member of Seattle's opening day roster and appeared in 3 games for the Mariners, all in relief... Allowed his first runs of the season (2 ER/1.1 IP) on April 11 at Cleveland before being optioned to AAA Tacoma April 12...Placed on the Major League disabled list with right shoulder tendonitis after outing of May 1 and pitched 2.0 innings for the Peoria Mariners during a rehab assignment in early July before being released July 18...Was re-signed to a minor league contract July 23...Appeared in two games with Peoria before being promoted to Tacoma Aug. 3...Pitched in eight games for Tacoma in Aug. and one in Sept...Was 0-0 w/a 3.60 ERA in 11 relief appearances for Tacoma (15.0IP, 18H, 6ER)...Harris pitched in Venezuela for Lara and posted a record of 4-3 w/a 2.51 ERA in 11 outings (10GS, 61.0IP, 45H, 17ER, 26K).

Began the season with double-A San Antonio, where he was 5-0, 2.10 in 11 games... was 4-0, 1.66 in nine relief appearances and 1-0, 2.84 in two starts...struck out 31 with only eight walks for San Antonio...fanned 11 on May 4 in his first start of the season following six relief appearances...transferred to triple-A Tacoma on May 23...was 5-2, 2.90 (20 ER/62.0 IP) in 15 games (8 starts) with Tacoma from May 24-July 28...selected to Seattle on Aug. 2 and made his Major League debut later that day in Detroit...pitched 5.0 scoreless innings (3 hits) in relief after Jorge Campillo left the game after one inning with an injured elbow...became the first Seattle pitcher to go five or more innings in his Major League debut (and leave the game without surrendering a run) since Pat Rice on May 18, 1991 at Yankee Stadium (5.2 IP, 2 hits, 0 BB, 3 K)...the last Mariner to pitch at least 5.0 scoreless innings in his Major League debut was Ken Cloude on Sept. 9, 1997, but he later allowed three runs in the seventh inning...first Major League start on Aug. 7 at the Chicago White Sox (5.2 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 HR)...the two home runs accounted for all three runs in the game...was optioned to triple-A Tacoma on Aug. 14 and appeared in one game for the Rainiers (6.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 1 HR)...picked up his first Major League win in Texas on Aug. 25 after being recalled from triple-A earlier that day (7.0 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K)...was 2-1, 2.28 (7 ER/27.2 IP) in five games (three starts) in Aug. (2.84 as a starter, 1.04 as a reliever)...overall, was 2-5, 4.50 (22 ER/44.0 IP) in eight starts and 0-0, 2.79 (3 ER/9.2 IP) in three relief appearances.

Started 2004 season with Aguascalientes in the Mexican League, appearing in five games...made two starts with Quebec on May 27 and June 2...signed minor league contract with Seattle on June 4...appeared in 26 games, eight starts with Tacoma...went 3-1 with a 3.67 ERA (41.2 IP, 17 ER) as a starter...held opponents to a .223 average...tossed a 7.0 inning complete game shutout allowing only three hits and striking out seven in his final start of the season on Sept. 4 vs. Tucson.
