High School in 2000, where he was a pitcher/first baseman...was a two-time Concorde District Player of the Year and Northern Region Player of the Year (1999 and 2000)...was also team MVP those two years...was second-team all-state his junior year...named honorable mention *USA Today* Virginia All-American.
2007
After spending the entire season with Colorado Springs, Koshansky made his Major League debut in September...went 1-for-12 with two RBI, one double, and two walks in 17 games for the Rockies...went 1-for-11 with two RBI and twowalks as a pinch-hitter...had his contract purchased from the Sky Sox on Sept. 1 and made his big league debut that night in Arizona, appearing in game as a pinch-hitter and grounding out to first base in his only at-bat...collected his first career RBI on Sept. 11 at Philadelphia, hitting a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning...recorded his first Major League hit in the seventh inning on Sept. 18 vs. Los Angeles (G1)...hit an RBI pinch-hit double to right field off RHP Scott Proctor, giving the Rockies a 3-1 lead...prior to joining the Rockies, Koshansky spent the entire year at Triple-A Colorado Springs, his first season at the Triple-A level...batted .295 (147-for-498) with 21 home runs, 99 RBI, 30 doubles, two triples, 79 runs scored, and 67 walks in 136 games for the Sky Sox...ranked fifth in the Pacific Coast League in RBI...led team in hits, home runs, RBI, walks, and games played, while ranking second in runs scored, and tied for third in doubles... was named to the PCL post-season All-Star team, the third consecutive season he's been named a postseason All-Star (also Texas League in 2006, South Atlantic League in 2005)...played 131 games at first base and posted a .988 fielding percentage (17 e/1370 tc)...batted .276 (47-for-170) with four home runs vs. lefties and .305 (100-for-328) with 17 homers against right-handers...hit .324 (56-for-173) with RISP and went 6-for-8 (.750) with the bases loaded...batted .340 (51-for-150) when ahead in the count, but hit just .238 (40-for-168) when behind...ranked second among all PCL hitters with a .400 (42-for-105) batting average in the month of May...recorded 41 multi-hit games and 27 multi-RBI contests...batted as high as .421 through May 31, hitting safely in 38 of 49 games during that span...drove in season-high four RBI on May 3 at Tacoma...posted his first of two multi-HR games on June 26 at Portland...has just one hit in his final 21 at bats to drop from .390 to .380.

A midseason and postseason Texas League All-Star, Koshansky batted .284 with 31 home runs and 109 RBI in 132 games for Tulsa, his first full season at the Double-A level...was also named to the U.S. roster for the MLB Futures All-Star Game, hitting a home run in that contest...selected as Rockies Minor League Player of the Year...among all minor leaguers, his 31 homers ranked T5th while his 109 RBI was third-most...ranked among top five in minors for second straight year in both of those categories...led Texas League in RBI, setting a Tulsa franchise record, and also ranked among league leaders in home runs (2nd) and slugging (5th, .526)...batted .216 (25-for-116) vs. lefties and .305 (117-for-384) vs. right-handers...batted .325 (51-for-157) with runners in scoring position and went 6-for-15 (.400) with the bases loaded...recorded 39 multi-hit games and 31 multi-RBI contests...hit a pair of home runs in four different games: April 19 at Arkansas, June 12 vs. Wichita, June 15 at Springfield, and Aug. 9 vs. Corpus Christi...had a .991 (11 e/1215 tc) fielding percentage in 125 games at first base...went 4-for-4 with two home runs, two doubles, five RBI and three runs scored to power Tulsa to an 8-6 win on April 19 vs. Arkansas...hit three-run homer to cap a six-run 6th inning on May 27 vs. Corpus Christi, a 6-0 Tulsa win...named the Texas League Offensive Player of the Week for May 21-28 after batting .357 (10-for-28) with three home runs, 13 RBI and nine runs scored...named to the midseason All-Star team after batting .316 with 19 home runs and 57 RBI...started at first base for the North Division All-Stars and went 0-for-3 in the 1-0 loss on June 20 at Ray Winder Field in Little Rock, Ark...at the Futures Game on July 9 in Pittsburgh, hit a two-run homer in the game as the U.S. team beat the World squad 8-5...homered with three RBI on Aug. 22 vs. Springfield, establishing a Tulsa single-season RBI record in the Drillers' 7-5 win...Koshansky had a run-scoring single in the third inning and hit a two-run homer in the seventh to bring his RBI total to 106, one more than former Texas farmhand Carlos Pena produced for Tulsa in 2000...went just 1-for-16 with one RBI in the Texas League playoffs...was named as the 13th-best prospect in the Texas League by

following the season and was also tabbed by the same publication as being the best power hitter in Colorado's minor league chain...played for the Grand Canyon Rafters of the Arizona Fall League...batted .227 (22-for-97) with five home runs and 21 RBI in 23 games.

after combining to bat .289 with 97 runs, 34 doubles, 38 home runs and 115 RBI in 132 games for Asheville and Tulsa...posted the second-highest totals in homers and RBI (tied) in organizational history...batted .291 with 31 doubles, 36 homers and 103 RBI in 120 games for Asheville...earned both midseason and postseason All-Star accolades...among all minor league players, ranked second in homers to only Angels prospect Brandon Wood, third in extra base hits (73), fourth in total bases (294) and fifth in RBI...led the SAL in home runs, slugging (.603), and extra base hits (68), ranking second in runs scored and third in RBI...joined Matt Miller as the first teammates in the history of the South Atlantic League to hit 30 or more home runs and drive in 100 or more RBI in a single season...started at first base and went 1-for-1 with an RBI double in the South Atlantic League All-Star Game on June 28 in Augusta, Ga...hit lefties at a .309 (34-for-110) clip and right-handers at .286 (98-for-343)...named South Atlantic League Hitter of the Week on two occasions: June 20-26, when he hit .417 (10-for-24) with four doubles, three home runs and seven RBI; from July 19-25, after hitting .467 (14-for-30) with three doubles, six home runs and 15 RBI...went 4-for-7 with three runs, two home runs and two RBI in 19-16 loss May 8 vs. Hagerstown...came within a single of hitting for the cycle on May 13 at Lexington, going 3-for-4 with a double, triple and home run in 7-6 win...was promoted to Tulsa on Aug. 23 and hit safely in 8 of 12 games at .267 (12-for-45) with two home runs and 12 RBI...went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer and four RBI in an 8-3 victory Aug. 31 vs. Wichita...hit .308 (4-for-13) with a home run and three RBI in three postseason games.

Made his pro debut at Tri-City where he led all short-season Rockies with 66 games...all but one of those came at first base...tied for the Northwest League lead with three intentional walks...ranked second in the league with 84 strikeouts.
