Began the season at Double-A Midland for the second consecutive year but finished it by making his Triple-A debut following an Aug. 1 promotion to Las Vegas…combined to hit .231 with 26 home runs, 87 RBI, 27 stolen bases and an .821 OPS in 137 games...Added 87 walks and was hit by a pitch three times for a .348 on-base percentage...Was one of 16 Minor Leaguers with at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases...Struck out 165 times but his average of 3.56 plate appearances per strikeout was his best as an A's farmhand…his mark of 1.90 strikeouts per walk was his lowest with the A's...Had career highs in every counting category except stolen bases and hit by pitches...Led the A's farm system in home runs, RBI, runs (87), walks, extra base hits (61) and total bases (232), ranked second in slugging (.473) and OPS, tied for second in triples (6), tied for third in doubles (29) and tied for fourth in stolen bases...Tied for fifth in the Texas League in triples (5)...Batted .258 (31-for-120) with a .947 OPS against left-handed hitters compared to .222 (82- for-370) with a .780 OPS against right-handers...His average slipped to .210 with runners in scoring position…was 5-for-15 (.333) with two doubles, two triples, a home run, 18 RBI and two walks with the bases loaded...Hit .321 in 24 day games, .213 in 113 night games...Batted .308 in April but then hit a combined .169 in May (.165), June (.175) and July (.167)… finished the year with a .306 average in August and .288 in September...Hit .207 in 24 games against San Antonio but 13 of his 18 hits were for extra bases (three doubles, three triples, seven home runs) and he drove in 24 runs..Had a .124 batting average with two strikes...Started 102 games in center field, 21 in right field and five in left field…made three errors in 129 games overall in the outfield for a .990 fielding percentage…had 12 assists, which tied for 13th in the minors among outfielders…had nine outfield assists with Midland, which ranked second in the Texas League...Made starts at every spot in the order except second at third…hit fifth 56 times, first and fourth 25 times and sixth 20 times…had nine home runs and 21 RBI in 20 games from the six spot in the order.
